Spencer Schwellenbach allowed six runs — three earned — over five innings in a loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday.
Schwellenbach was hurt by his defense, but also hurt by the long ball as he gave up two homers in the contest. The Blue Jays were aggressive against the 24-year-old as he didn’t walk anyone, threw 56-of-72 pitches for strikes and struck out just three times. It’s a disappointing outing considering how the Blue Jays have pitched and his solid outing against the Phillies on Sunday, but it could have been worse. He’d be more risk than reward as a streamer next weekend against the Dodgers.

Bellozo had to work four innings during Monday’s game because of the injury to Kyle Freeland (shoulder), and he’ll return to Triple-A so the Rockies can bring in a fresh arm. In this case, that arm is Tanner Gordon.
Is there larger issue with Crochet's performance?
Eric Samulski discusses Red Sox ace Garrett Crochet's disastrous outing against the Twins and whether fantasy managers should be worried about his performance moving forward.
  • COL Starting Pitcher #29
Rockies recalled RHP Tanner Gordon from Triple-A Albuquerque.
Gordon, 28, will take the roster spot of Valente Bellozo. The 28-year-old will have a chance to make his first appearance with Colorado in 2026, but was a disaster in 2025 as seen in a 6.33 ERA in 75 1/3 innings.
  • SEA Right Fielder #30
Mariners placed OF Rob Refsnyder on the paternity list.
Refsnyder won’t be available for the Mariners for up to three days while he welcomes a new family member. Patrick Wisdom will be available off the bench in Refsnyder’s absence.
  • SEA 3rd Baseman #16
Mariners selected the contract of INF Patrick Wisdom from Triple-A Tacoma.
Wisdom is up with Rob Refsnyder hitting the paternity list. The 34-year-old has already homered nine time in Tacoma in 17 games, and fantasy managers likely remember that he was a serious power threat for the Cubs not that long ago. They also likely remember that Wisdom hasn’t had MLB success in a few years, and there’s a good chance he’s just a bench option while Refsnyder is away.
  • LAA Starting Pitcher #70
Angels optioned LHP Mitch Farris to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Farris pitched well Monday with 1 2/3 scoreless frames, but his reward for throwing multiple innings is a demotion to Triple-A. Sam Aldegheri represents the fresh arm needed for the Los Angeles bullpen, and Farris should be back with the Halos in the coming weeks.
  • LAA Starting Pitcher #61
Angels recalled LHP Sam Aldegheri from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Aldegheri will give the Angels a multi-inning arm and a left-handed one that could keep some of the Yankees’ southpaw bats on the bench. The 24-year-old takes the roster spot of Mitch Farris, who was demoted in a corresponding move.
  • NYY 2nd Baseman #13
Jazz Chisholm Jr. is not in the starting lineup against the Yankees on Tuesday.
Reid Detmers doesn’t have extreme splits,, but the Yankees are giving several left-handed hitters the night off against Detmers on Tuesday. Chisholm, Cody Bellinger and Ben Rice will all sit and Paul Goldschmidt, Randal Grichuk and Amed Rosario will get a chance to play.
  • LAA 1st Baseman #18
Nolan Schanuel is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Yankees.
Schanuel will take a breather with southpaw Ryan Weathers on the bump for the Angels. It’ll be Vaughn Grissom handling the colder corner and hitting fifth in Schanuel’s absence. Josh Lowe also gets the evening off with Bryce Teodosio getting the nod in left and hitting ninth.
  • PHI 3rd Baseman #28
Alec Bohm is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Cubs.
Bohm has struggled to begin the year even with a two-RBI evening against the Cubs on Monday, and he’ll get a break with Edmundo Sosa getting the start at the hot corner.
  • CWS Starting Pitcher #48
White Sox placed RHP Jonathan Cannon on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to April 13, with right hip inflammation.
Cannon exited Sunday’s appearance with hip irritation, and threw just 2-of-14 pitches for strikes before leaving with the injury. The right-hander will likely need more than two weeks off before being able to return to the White Sox staff.
