Glasnow threw off a mound for the first time since being diagnosed with elbow tendinitis. The right-hander will likely need to make a few more bullpen sessions before he can return to the mound, and likely will need a simulated game — possibly a rehab assignment — before potentially returning before the end of the regular season.

Mansolino added that they’ll have additional information ahead of Tuesday’s contest, but early indications are that Westburg isn’t dealing with anything too serious. The 26-year-old infielder was lifted from Monday’s series opener with right ankle discomfort. He’s day-to-day for now.

The triple, a liner into the corner in right field, should have been a double and an error on Roman Anthony, but we suppose that hardly matters. Both that and the homer were crushed at 110.6 and 108.0 mph, respectively. The homer was his third of the month, which obviously doesn’t count the grand slam he barely missed out on in Houston yesterday.

He struck out seven and had 15 whiffs with a 34% CSW in his latest gem. Rogers has allowed exactly one run in four straight starts and a total of nine runs in his last 10 turns. It’s one of the most stunning developments of the season, and it shows no real sign of ending. He’ll face the slumping Astros on Sunday.

The Orioles had lefty Dietrich Enns pitch the eighth with a 4-1 lead tonight, and after he got through it scoreless, he stayed in to face Roman Anthony in a 6-1 game in the ninth. Anthony singled, at which point Cano entered. Cano went on to walk Nathaniel Lowe and give up a two-run double to Jarren Duran with two outs before getting Ceddanne Rafaela to ground out to end it. It wasn’t a save situation for Cano, but the way things played out suggests he would have gotten one had the Orioles not increased their lead in the ninth.

May allowed eight hits, his second-highest total of the year, but he spaced them around well enough to notch a second straight quality start. He’s not recommended in mixed leagues with a road start against the Yankees coming up on Sunday.

Beavers is 4-for-11 with three walks through three games, giving him a nice .500 OBP. It’s unclear whether he’ll get much of a chance versus lefties, but he should be solid enough against right-handers to warrant consideration in mixed leagues.

Hopefully, with Nathaniel Lowe on the roster, this is pretty much the end of Toro being Boston’s first baseman. He’s hitting .194/.261/.263 in 180 plate appearances since June 13, and it’s past time for the Red Sox to move on from him entirely.

Canzone was drilled in the lower left forearm by a pitch during the seventh inning of Monday’s lopsided defeat at the hands of the Phillies. He remained in the contest initially, but appeared to be in a great deal of pain. He was eventually lifted in the ensuing frame. It’s likely he’ll get some extra time off to rest and recover.

Davis scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch after reaching on the double in the seventh and then added some insurance later. With Joey Bart in the midst of a nice run, the Pirates are finally getting some production from a catcher spot they figured would be one of their strengths this year. Davis is hitting just .172/.248/.286 in 210 plate appearances, and his future as a big leaguer should be in serious doubt at this point.
