  • NYY Center Fielder #13
Jazz Chisholm Jr. singled and stole a base on Saturday, leading the Yankees to a 2-0 victory over the Cubs.
Chisholm is up to a career-high 34 thefts this season, with a dozen of those coming in just 28 contests since arriving in New York back at the trade deadline. His game-changing speed has brought a dynamic element to the Yankees’ lineup and it has him poised to enter next season as a consensus early-round pick in all fantasy drafts.
  • TB Third Baseman #24
Christopher Morel (Achilles) is hitting fifth and playing left field against he Red Sox on Tuesday.
Morel missed two games while dealing with the Achilles issue, but the 25-year-old is ready to role against Nick Pivetta and the Boston pitching staff.
  • MIA Starting Pitcher #22
Sandy Alcantara is expected to face hitters in a live BP session according to Isaac Azout of the Miami Herald.
Alcantara is currently rehabbing from Tommy John surgery that he underwent last October. The 29-year-old told reporters late in August that his preference would be to be able to pitch in a game this year, and while that can’t completely be ruled out, it’s all but assured he’ll make his return to the bump in 2025.
  • PHI Second Baseman #19
Phillies optioned INF Buddy Kennedy to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Kennedy is booted off the active roster with Edmundo Sosa activated off of the 10-day injured list.
  • PHI Shortstop #33
Phillies activated INF Edmundo Sosa off the 10-day injured list.
Sosa missed just a minimum stint on the injured list while he was recovering from back spasms. He’ll return to his utility role with Buddy Kennedy optioned back to Triple-A.
  • CLE Center Fielder #38
Steven Kwan (fatigue) is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Twins.
This makes five straight games that Kwan won’t be in the lineup for. The 27-year-old is being called day-to-day, but fantasy managers should be prepared to not have Kwan back for a bit. Angel Martinez is starting in left field and leading off while Kwan recovers.
  • TOR Relief Pitcher #70
Blue Jays claimed RHP Nick Robertson off waivers from the Angels.
Robertson has now been claimed off waivers twice in 2024, as the Angels had claimed him off waivers from the Cardinals. The burly reliever will add to the pitching depth of the Blue Jays. A corresponding transaction will be necessary, as the Blue Jays have a full 40-man roster.
  • NYY Shortstop #11
Anthony Volpe will not be in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s tilt against the Mariners.
Volpe will get a day off to start the three-game set against Seattle. Oswaldo Cabrera will instead be the starter at shortstop behind Luis Gil and the Yankees’ pitching staff. Volpe has really struggled thus far in September with a .163 average, no extra base hits, and 17 strikeouts over 49 at-bats.
  • MIN Relief Pitcher #66
Twins optioned RHP Jorge Alcala to Triple-A St. Paul.
Alcala gets the boot to make room for Cole Irvin after the Twins claimed Irvin off waivers. Alcala has been a strong option for Minnesota this year, and there’s a good chance he’ll be back before the season ends, even if the team needs to do some finagling to get him back on the roster.
  • TOR Relief Pitcher #58
Blue Jays sent RHP Yerry Rodriguez outright to Triple-A buffalo.
Rodriguez made four appearances with a ghastly 15.43 ERA, and wasn’t claimed after being designated for assignment Thursday. The 26-year-old will be a minor-league free agent at the end of 2024.
  • ATL Second Baseman #1
Ozzie Albies (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Gwinnett.
It’s now confirmed that Albies will play Tuesday for the Stripers as he works his way back from his fractured left wrist. The 27-year-old will hope to play in two rehab games in Triple-A, and then could rejoin Atlanta for the weekend series against the Marlins in Miami. Albies plans to hit exclusively from the right side until his wrist is closer to 100 percent, but this is obviously someone worth adding back to your fantasy lineup if/when he is back with the club this weekend.
