The Marlins have promoted Jakob Marsee from Double- to Triple-A.
Marsee, 23, was one of the prospects the Marlins received from the Padres for Luis Arraez in May. He was hitting just .188/.342/.303 in 91 games for Pensacola, though he did have 32 steals. If he gets back to hitting for a decent average, he’ll get a look in the Marlins outfield sometime next season.
  • BAL Starting Pitcher #64

Orioles and RHP Dean Kremer avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $2.95 million contract.
Kremer, 29, went 8-10 with a 4.10 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and a 123/51 K/BB ratio over 129 2/3 innings in 24 starts for the Orioles during the 2024 campaign. He seems to hold a tenuous spot in the team’s starting rotation heading into the 2025 season, but any further additions to their rotation could leave him on the outside looking in. He’s getting no respect at all from fantasy managers in early drafts, currently residing outside the top 400 picks overall.
  • BAL First Baseman #6
Orioles and 1B Ryan Mountcastle avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $6.787 million contract.
The 27-year-old slugger had a down season in 2024, slashing .271/.308/.425 with only 13 homers and 63 RBI in 507 plate appearances. The Orioles deciding to move the left field fences back in should help to correct those power numbers — provided that Mountcastle isn’t dealt elsewhere before the 2025 season begins. He looks like a nice bounce-back candidate that can be had outside the top 240 picks overall in early fantasy drafts.
  • BAL Center Fielder #31
Orioles and OF Cedric Mullins avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $8.725 million contract.
The dynamic 30-year-old outfielder was projected by MLBTradeRumors.com to earn $8.7 million in his final season of arbitration, so this is right in line with that figure. He hasn’t been able to recapture the magic from his surprise 30/30 season in 2021, but Mullins still socked 18 dingers and swiped 32 bases during a solid 2024 campaign. His draft price is as cheap as it has been in years, going outside the top 215 picks overall in early drafts.
  • NYM Center Fielder #22
Mets and OF Jose Siri avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $2.4 million contract.
The 29-year-old outfielder was projected by MLBTradeRumors.com to earn $2.3 million via arbitration, so it looks like a fair deal for both parties. Siri was acquired from the Rays in November after slashing .187/.255/.366 with 18 homers, 47 RBI and 14 swipes in 448 plate appearances. The contributions in power and speed are intriguing from a fantasy perspective, but fantasy managers will need to brace themselves for the major average hit that Siri will provide.
  • CLE Center Fielder #38
Guardians and OF Steven Kwan avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $4.175 million contract.
Kwan had been projected by MLBTradeRumors.com to earn $4.3 million via arbitration, so if anything, it looks like the Guardians may have gotten a slight discount here. The 27-year-old outfielder had another very strong season in 2024 — slashing .292/.368/.425 with a career-high 14 homers, 44 RBI and 12 stolen bases in 122 games while winning his third consecutive Gold Glove Award.
  • SF Relief Pitcher #75
Giants and RHP Camilo Doval avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $4.525 million contract.
Doval had a rough season for the Giants in 2024, posting a 4.88 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and a 78/39 K/BB ratio across 59 innings. The once dominant closer was demoted to Triple-A Sacramento near the end of the summer and ultimately lost his closer’s job to Ryan Walker. He has been a popular name in trade discussions this winter and could wind up needing a change of scenery. From a fantasy perspective, he has been a speculative pick in early drafts going outside the top 350 players overall.
  • SF Relief Pitcher #71
Giants and RHP Tyler Rogers avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $5.25 million contract.
Rogers had been projected by MLBTradeRumors.com to earn $5.5 million in his final season of arbitration. The 34-year-old hurler was as reliable as ever in 2024 — compiling a 2.82 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and a 51/6 K/BB ratio over 70 1/3 innings in a league-leading 77 appearances. He’ll be a key cog in the Giants’ bullpen once again in 2025, but unfortunately that doesn’t lead to much value from a fantasy perspective outside of leagues that count holds.
  • ARI Shortstop #2
Diamondbacks and INF Geraldo Perdomo avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $2.55 million contract.
Perdomo had been projected by MLBTradeRumors.com to earn $2.1 million in arbitration, so it looks like he came out ahead in this deal. The 25-year-old shortstop hit .273/.344/.374 with just three homers, 37 RBI and nine stolen bases over 388 plate appearances for the Diamondbacks in 2024. Hitting near the bottom of the D’Backs’ lineup, speed and batting average will be his only redeeming fantasy categories from a fantasy perspective in 2025.
  • ARI Relief Pitcher #35
Diamondbacks and LHP Joe Mantiply avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $1.7 million contract.
It’s a nice raise over the $925,000 that the 33-year-old southpaw took home during the 2024 season. Mantiply has become one of the most reliable arms in the Diamondbacks’ bullpen, registering a 3.92 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and a 53/18 K/BB ratio over 59 2/3 innings during the 2024 campaign. Expect him to function in a middle relief capacity once again in 2025.
  • ARI Relief Pitcher #37
Diamondbacks and RHP Kevin Ginkel avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $2.425 million contract.
Ginkel seems to have done well for himself in his second season of arbitration, as he was projected by MLBTradeRumors.com to earn $2.3 million via arbitration. The 30-year-old hurler had another strong season out of the D’Backs’ bullpen in 2024, posting a 3.21 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and a 77/15 K/BB ratio over 70 innings of work. Barring any outside additions, he’ll fight with AJ Puk and Justin Martinez for save chances to begin the 2025 season.
