  • PHI Second Baseman #19
Phillies optioned INF Buddy Kennedy to Triple-A Lehigh Valley
With Weston Wilson coming back from the Paternity List, Kennedy will head back to Triple-A where he has a .313/.415/.543 slash line with nine home runs and 39 RBIs in 56 games since being acquired from the Tigers.
  • LAD Relief Pitcher #57
Ryan Brasier will start against the Padres in Wednesday’s Game 4.
Landon Knack will be available to go long tonight, but in a do-or-die game with everyone available and pretty fresh, this might turn into a true bullpen game for the Dodgers.
  • NYY Third Baseman #95
Oswaldo Cabrera is hitting eighth and playing first base in Game 3 of the ALDS against the Royals on Wednesday.
Cabrera got the start in Game 1, and after sitting Game 2, the 25-year-old utility player will get another outing at the not-so-hot corner in Game 3 against Seth Lugo. Jon Berti will retreat to the bench after starting Game 2. The rest of the lineup behind Clarke Schmidt: 2B Gleyber Torres, RF Juan Soto, CF Aaron Judge, C Austin Wells, DH Giancarlo Stanton, 2B Jazz Chisholm Jr., SS Anthony Volpe, 1B Cabrera and LF Alex Verdugo.
  • NYM Left Fielder #1
Jeff McNeil (wrist) will play in the Arizona Fall League on Friday and Saturday.
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters before Wednesday’s game that the team wants to see McNeil play in back-to-back games in the AFL before making the decision. McNeil has missed a month with his wrist fracture, but if things go well, there’s a very good chance he’ll make the LCS roster — assuming the Mets advance, of course.
  • PHI Starting Pitcher #45
Zack Wheeler will only be available for Game 4 of the NLDS against the Mets on Wednesday in an emergency situation.
What exactly constitutes an emergency is subjective, as one could argue that “lose and you don’t get to play anymore” would qualify. Wheeler will hope he can get the Game 5 start with Ranger Suarez on the bump for the Phillies. While Wheeler won’t be available, Cristopher Sanchez — the Game 2 starter — is expected to be an option for the must-win game.
  • KC Second Baseman #26
Adam Frazier is starting in right field and hitting eighth against the Yankees on Wednesday in Game 4 of the ALDS.
Frazier will get the nod in right field against right-hander Clarke Schmidt, which means Tommy Pham will begin the contest on the bench. The rest of the Royals lineup: 2B Michael Massey, SS Bobby Witt Jr., DH Vinnie Pasquantino, C Salvador Perez, 1B Yuli Gurriel, LF MJ Melendez, 3B Maikel Garcia, RF Frazier and CF Kyle Isbel.
  • CLE Starting Pitcher #28
Tanner Bibee will start Game 4 against the Tigers on Thursday.
Bibee will get the ball after throwing just 76 pitches in Game 1, and will be working with four days of rest because of the off-day between Game 1 and 2. The right-hander was able to fire 4 2/3 scoreless innings in his Game 1 outing.
  • PHI Outfielder
Weston Wilson is starting in left field and hitting eighth against the Mets on Wednesday in Game 4 of the NLDS.
Brandon Marsh is moving to center field for the contest, and Johan Rojas will retreat to the bench. Wilson was a solid surprise for the Phillies in 2024, and now will get a chance to make an impact in a must-win game for Philadelphia. The full lineup: DH Kyle Schwarber, SS Trea Turner, 1B Bryce Harper, RF Nick Castellanos, 3B Alec Bohm, C J.T. Realmuto, 2B Bryson Stott, LF Wilson and CF Marsh.
  • NYM Designated Hitter #28
J.D. Martinez is the designated hitter and hitting sixth for Game 4 of the NLDS against the Phillies on Wednesday.
With southpaw Ranger Suarez on the mound, Martinez will get the nod over Jesse Winker as the designated hitter. The full lineup as the Mets look to clinch a trip to the NLDS behind Jose Quintana: SS Francisco Lindor, 3B Mark Vientos, LF Brandon Nimmo, 1B Pete Alonso, 2B Jose Iglesias, DH Martinez, RF Starling Marte, CF Tyrone Taylor and C Francisco Alvarez.
  • CLE First Baseman #9
Kyle Manzardo is hitting second as the designated hitter against the Tigers on Wednesday in Game 3 of the ALDS.
Manzardo will get his first start of the postseason after two appearances as a pinch-hitter in the first two series. The 24-year-old gets the start with David Fry moving to the bench. Will Brennan also gets the start in right field with Jhonkensy Noel moving to the bench after starting the first two games. The full lineup against Keider Montero and the Detroit bullpen: LF Steven Kwan, DH Manzardo, 3B Jose Ramirez, 1B Josh Naylor, Lane Thomas CF, 2B Andrés Giménez, RF Brennan, C Bo Naylor and SS Brayan Roccio.
  • DET Starting Pitcher #54
Keider Montero is starting Game 3 of the ALDS against the Guardians on Wednesday.
Montero will get the nod as the Tigers look to take a 2-1 lead. The right-hander threw two innings of relief in Game 1, and while he’ll likely have a short leash because of how important this contest is, he should still be stretched out enough to give the Tigers some innings Wednesday.
