Jon Gray allowed seven runs (six earned) in two innings and took the loss against the Guardians on Saturday.
Gray gave up six hits, walked two and struck out one. He was making his first start since July 23rd, but didn’t last long on the mound. Maybe next time they’ll consider giving him a minor league rehab start or two. Gray gave up one run in the first inning, three in the second inning and three in the third inning. He was chased by a three-run home run off the bat of Jhonkensy Noel in the third inning before recording an out. Gray is 5-5 with a 4.22 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 81 strikeouts in 98 innings this year. The 32-year-old right-hander is set to face the White Sox on the road next week, which is one of the only matchups where he might be a usable streaming option in fantasy at this point.
