Jordan Beck is starting in center field and batting seventh for the Rockies on Thursday.
Beck is an everyday player for the Rockies. Since being recalled from the minors on August 12th, Beck has started eight straight games with the Rockies comfortable playing him at every outfield position while they give veterans like Charlie Blackmon and Jake Cave days off. In his seven starts this month, Beck has gone 6-for-22 (.273) with two runs, two RBI, and a 7:4 K:BB ratio. The 23-year-old did hit 25 home runs in the minors last season and has hit eight in 39 games at Triple-A this year, so the power production should come and that could make him intriguing when the Rockies play a full week of games at home, as they do next week.
