Red Sox optioned LHP Brennan Bernardino to Triple-A Worcester.
Giving up four runs in 1 1/3 innings Sunday took Berdardino’s ERA from 3.03 to 3.83 and cost him his roster spot for a couple of weeks. He’d allowed just one homer in 38 innings this season before giving up three in his last two appearances.

Fernando Tatis Jr. went 2-for-4 with a homer in a 5-4 win over the Athletics on Monday.
Tatis Jr. extended the San Diego lead to 5-3 with a solo shot off Luis Severino in the seventh. He’s off to a solid start at the plate with two homers, seven RBI and an OPS of .997 over the first 11 games of 2025. Tatis Jr. obviously has enormous upside, and it’s just a matter of him staying on the field to reach his ceiling.

Luis Severino allowed five runs over seven innings to pick up a loss Monday to the Padres.
Severino pitched well after the first inning, which is good. He gave up three runs in that inning, however, which kinda defeats everything else. Severino has given up five earned in back-to-back starts after his impressive outing in the opener, and his ERA has inflated to 4.84 in the process. He’ll try to rebound against his old team in the Mets on Sunday.

Ryan Mountcastle drove in two runs in a win Monday over the Diamondbacks.

Gunnar Henderson swiped two bases and scored two runs in a 5-1 win for the Orioles over the Diamondbacks on Monday

Ryan O’Hearn went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in a win for the Orioles on Monday over the Diamondbacks.
  • BAL Starting Pitcher #24
Zach Eflin struck out just one hitter, but allowed a run over six innings to get a win over the Dimonadbacks on Monday.
  • ARI Starting Pitcher #23
Zac Gallen was charged for five runs over 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Orioles on Monday.
  • SD Third Baseman #13
Manny Machado doubled twice and drove in two runs in the Padres’ win over the Athletics.
  • ATH First Baseman #21
Tyler Soderstrom homered twice Monday in ia loss to the Padres.
Soderstrom has his second multi-homer game of the season, and is already up to six. The 23-year-old flashed offensive excellence at the end of 2024, and has been as good as anyone at the start of 2025. That’s obviously not going to continue, but that doesn’t make Soderstrom unworthy of rostering. On the contrary.

Robert Suarez worked a scoreless ninth inning to pick up a save against the Athletics on Monday.
Suarez already has five saves on the year, which is a good number for a month, much less the first 11 games of the season. He needed just nine pitches to get through the outing, and he has yet to allow a run in the 2025 campaign.
