Twins placed LHP Steven Okert on the bereavement list.
Okert has a 4.45 ERA in 38 appearances this season. He figures to rejoin the Twins later this week.
  • ATH Starting Pitcher #40

Athletics activated RHP Luis Severino from the 15-day injured list.
Severino will rejoin the A’s rotation on Tuesday against the Cardinals. He has been shelved since early August due to a left oblique strain. While his numbers overall on the season have been mediocre at best, Severino has dominated away from Sutter Health Park and should be a viable streaming option this week for a matchup against the light-hitting Cardinals in St. Louis.
Schwarber enjoying a later career renaissance
James Schiano discusses Kyle Schwarber's 4-home-run game and whether he has done enough to challenge Shohei Ohtani for NL MVP.
  • WSH Starting Pitcher
Nationals selected the contract of LHP Andrew Alvarez from Triple-A Rochester.
The 26-year-old southpaw is set to make his big league debut on Monday afternoon against the Marlins. Alvarez has struggled to a 4.10 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and a 114/52 K/BB ratio over 123 innings in 25 starts at Triple-A Rochester this season. He’s not a recommended streaming option for Monday’s start against the Fish.
  • ATL Relief Pitcher #74
Braves recalled RHP Rolddy Muñoz from Triple-A Gwinnett.
Muñoz had a 2.75 ERA and a 51/31 K/BB in 55 2/3 innings between Double- and Triple-A this season. The 25-year-old reliever will be making his major league debut.
  • ATL 3rd Baseman #37
Braves activated INF Luke Williams from the 10-day injured list.
Williams, who missed the minimum 10 days with an oblique strain, will return to his role as a seldom-used bench player. He is 3-for-29 in 32 appearances for the Braves this season.
  • WSH Shortstop #26
Nationals recalled INF Nasim Nuñez from Triple-A Rochester.
With rosters expanding for September, the 25-year-old infielder will get another opportunity to show what he can do at the big league level. Nuñez has hit .186/.271/.233 with zero homers, five RBI and seven stolen bases in 49 plate appearances with the Nationals this season. He can continue to be ignored for fantasy purposes.
  • HOU 3rd Baseman #6
Astros designated INF Logan Davidson for assignment.
The Astros needed to free up a spot on their 40-man roster for the return of Logan Davidson on Monday and unfortunately Davidson drew the short straw this time around. The 27-year-old slugger has spent most of the season at the Triple-A level where he has slashed .250/.385/.395 with 10 homers and 51 RBI. He could pique another team’s interest on waivers.
  • MIA Relief Pitcher #70
Marlins recalled RHP Michael Petersen from Triple-A Jacksonville.
Petersen begins a second stint with the Marlins after posting a 4.76 ERA in 5 2/3 innings for the club last season. He had a 6.00 ERA in 12 innings for Jacksonville.
  • HOU Starting Pitcher #77
Astros activated RHP Luis Garcia from the 60-day injured list.
The 28-year-old right-hander has completed his long road back from Tommy John surgery and will make his highly-anticipated 2025 season debut on Monday against the Angels. Garcia registered a 3.30 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and a 38/7 K/BB ratio across 30 innings over nine minor league rehab appearances (eight starts). He looked sharp enough on his rehab stint that fantasy managers should be willing to gamble on Garcia immediately upon his return on Monday.
  • MIA Catcher #75
Marlins selected the contract of C Brian Navarreto from Jacksonville.
The Marlins have decided to add a third catcher as their extra position player. Navaretto’s only previous major league experience was going 2-for-5 for the Marlins in 2020. He spent 2022-24 in the Brewers system before rejoining the Marlins and batting .229/.301/.392 in 47 Triple-A games this season.
  • MIA Relief Pitcher #76
Marlins selected the contract of RHP Luarbert Arias from Triple-A Jacksonville.
Arias, who will pitch out of the pen, gave up 11 runs in 9 1/3 innings of relief work for the Marlins back in April. He went on to miss some time and post a 4.74 ERA with a hideous 13/17 K/BB in 24 2/3 innings in the minors.
