  • CHC Center Fielder #24
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Cody Bellinger is expected to continue DHing for now, as his injured left finger is still bothering him on throws.
Bellinger is 8-for-24 with two homers since returning from a fractured index finger last week. The earliest he might play outfield or first base is Friday.
  • STL Center Fielder #11
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Cardinals activated CF Victor Scott II from the 10-day injured list.
Scott, out since Aug. 17 with a sprained ankle, went 1-for-8 on a three-game rehab assignment. He’ll likely return to being the Cardinals’ primary center fielder, with Nathan Church heading to the bench. Both are left-handed hitters, so there’s no good way for them to share time.
Schwarber enjoying a later career renaissance
James Schiano discusses Kyle Schwarber's 4-home-run game and whether he has done enough to challenge Shohei Ohtani for NL MVP.
  • STL Relief Pitcher #58
Cardinals recalled RHP Chris Roycroft from Triple-A Memphis.
Roycroft has a 6.92 ERA and a 9/9 K/BB in 14 appearances out of the St. Louis bullpen this season. He needs a nice showing now if he expects to stick on the 40-man this winter.
  • TOR Relief Pitcher #9
Blue Jays selected the contract of RHP Dillon Tate from Buffalo.
The Jays are also adding waiver claim Isian Kiner-Falefa to the roster today, so Tate is their only official callup. Tate made five appearances for the Jays in April and May, allowing three runs in 5 1/3 innings. He had a 2.06 ERA and a 34/19 K/BB in 35 innings as a reliever for Buffalo.
  • TOR Relief Pitcher #52
Blue Jays transferred RHP Nick Sandlin from the 15-day to the 60-day injured list.
Sandlin has been out since July 8 with elbow inflammation, so he’ll be eligible to come off the 60-day IL as soon as Saturday. However, if he is able to make it back, it sounds like it will happen closer to the end of the month.
  • LAA 2nd Baseman #4
Angels optioned INF Christian Moore to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Moore has had a difficult time in his first exposure to big league pitching, slashing a woeful .195/.287/.336 with four homers, 12 RBI and a 41/14 K/BB ratio over 130 plate appearances. He’ll return to an everyday role at the Triple-A level for the time being.
  • LAA Shortstop #13
Angels selected the contract of INF Scott Kingery from Triple-A Salt Lake.
The 31-year-old former top prospect has appeared in 14 games with the Angels already this season, hitting .160/.222/.200 with zero RBI, one stolen base and a 10/2 K/BB ratio over 27 plate appearances. He’ll add depth on the team’s bench for the month of September but won’t hold any fantasy value.
  • LAA Starting Pitcher
Angels selected the contract of LHP Mitch Farris from Double-A Rocket City.
It’s the first trip to the show for the 24-year-old southpaw who was a 14th round selection by the Braves from the 2023 draft class. Farris has made 23 appearances (22 starts) at Double-A Rocket City this season, registering a 4.27 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and a 142/55 K/BB ratio over 116 innings. He’ll slot into the Angels’ rotation on either Tuesday or Wednesday against the Royals.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher #45
Dodgers signed LHP Andrew Heaney to a minor league contract.
Heaney will head to Triple-A for now, but he’ll be postseason eligible. He was recently released by the Pirates after posting a 5.39 ERA in 23 starts and three relief appearances.
  • SEA Catcher #72
Mariners selected the contract of C Harry Ford from Triple-A Tacoma.
Ford, the 12th overall pick in the 2021 draft, will make his major league debut after hitting .283/.408/.460 with 16 homers and seven steals for Tacoma. After seeing a little time in the outfield last year, he was exclusively a catcher this season. He probably won’t be a full-timer for the Mariners, but he could see some action between DH and catcher in tandem with Cal Raleigh, at least when Jorge Polanco is starting in the infield. Mitch Garver is surely in line for less playing time.
  • LAA Left Fielder #33
Angels activated INF/OF Chris Taylor from the 10-day injured list.
The versatile 35-year-old returns to action for Monday’s series finale against the Astros in Houston after missing six weeks with a fractured left hand. He’ll see action all over the diamond for the Halos but his days of mixed league viability from a fantasy perspective are in the rearview mirror.
