Orioles sent RHP Levi Stoudt outright to Double-A Bowie.
Stoudt, who pitched briefly in the majors for the Reds last year, was a waiver claim from the Mariners in June. The Orioles have tried turning him into a reliever, but the early results weren’t strong enough to keep him on the 40-man or get him claimed by another team.

Jordan Wicks allowed three runs on six hits in five innings for Triple-A Iowa on Sunday.
Wicks has a chance at earning the fifth spot in the Cubs’ rotation if Ben Brown continues to struggle in his audition as a starter. However, the Cubs are going to want to see a better effort out of Wicks, who also walked two batters and only struck out three against the Pirates’ Triple-A affiliate.
  • PIT Starting Pitcher #41
Carson Fulmer threw five shutout innings with five hits for Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.
He also struck out six and didn’t walk a single batter in the outing. The 31-year-old posted a solid 4.15 ERA in 86 2/3 innings (eight starts) for the Angels last season and could be an option in the Pirates’ rotation if Carmen Mlodzinski continues to struggle.
  • TOR First Baseman #27
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the Blue Jays are in agreement on a 14-year, $500 million extension, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
So much for the deadline. Guerrero, who said he wouldn’t do a deal after mid-March, would have been a free agent after the season. Instead, the 26-year-old, four-time All-Star is committing to the Blue Jays through age 40. The deal lacks any deferrals, making it the second or third biggest contract of all-time, depending on how one values Shohei Ohtani’s Dodgers pact. Juan Soto’s 15-year, $765 million contract with the Mets remains the biggest deal ever.

Jon Morosi of MLB.com reports that Mariners’ outfielder Victor Robles (shoulder) is expected to land on the injured list.
Morosi notes that the Mariners are still working to determine the severity of the shoulder injury that he suffered on Sunday, but a trip to the injured list seems inevitable. Morosi also speculates that Dominic Canzone is under consideration to be recalled from Triple-A Tacoma to take Robles’ spot on the Mariners’ active roster.
  • STL Catcher #5
The Cardinals are expected to recall Yohel Pozo from Triple-A Memphis in the wake of the injury to Ivan Herrera (knee).
Cardinals’ manager Oli Marmol said Sunday night that Herrera wasn’t dealing with any sort of structural damage and that he’s not looking at a “crazy recovery”. Pedro Pages will assume the bulk of the playing time behind the dish while Herrera is sidelined with Pozo serving as his backup.
  • DET Shortstop #80
Jon Morosi of MLB.com reports that Tigers’ prospect Kevin McGonigle is expected to miss some time due to an ankle injury.
The 20-year-old phenom was noticeably absent from the lineup at High-A West Michigan on Sunday and now it appears we know why. Morosi noted that the extent of the injury — and the amount of time that he may miss — are not yet clear. While he’s not expected to reach the big leagues in 2025, if McGonigle winds up missing substantial time it could push his arrival back a bit.
  • BOS Third Baseman #2
Alex Bregman went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a home run and six RBI on Sunday night as the Red Sox demolished the Cardinals 18-2 at Fenway Park.
After singling in the first inning, Bregman smacked a two-run double off of Miles Mikolas in the second that increase the Red Sox’ lead to 4-1. He then scored on a two-run double by Wilyer Abreu. Bregman did more damage in the third, crushing a 411-foot (103.9 mph EV) three-run shot off of Gordon Graceffo that made it a 10-1 ballgame. With the four-hit attack, the 31-year-old third baseman is now slashing a healthy .341/.383/.591 with two homers and 10 RBI through his first 10 games with the Red Sox.
  • BOS Third Baseman #11
Rafael Devers went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles, four runs scored and three RBI as the Red Sox routed the Cardinals in the nightcap of Sunday’s doubleheader.
Devers had already homered and driven in a pair of runs in the first game on Sunday. He smacked a one-out single off of Miles Mikolas in the opening inning and scored the game’s first run on an RBI single by Wilyer Abreu. He then walked and scored in the second, singled and scored in the third and laced an RBI double to center in the fifth inning that increased the Red Sox’ lead to 11-2. He finished his day with a two-run double in the sixth and scored on an RBI double by Alex Bregman. It seems like his early-season struggles are now in the rearview mirror as he’s slashing .263/.404/.421 with a homer and eight RBI.
  • BOS Third Baseman #3
Ceddanne Rafaela went 3-for-4 with three runs scored, two RBI and a stolen base as the Red Sox pummeled the Cardinals on Sunday evening.
Rafaela was one of four players in the Red Sox’ lineup with at least three hits on Sunday night, joining Jarren Duran, Rafael Devers and Alex Bregman. Even with this monster day at the dish though, his overall numbers on the season look quite underwhelming, as he’s slashing just .200/.273/.200 with zero homers, five RBI and a pair of stolen bases.
  • BOS Starting Pitcher #92
Hunter Dobbins picked up a victory in his big league debut on Sunday night, limiting the Cardinals to two runs on eight hits over his five innings of work.
The right-hander punched out five opposing hitters on the night while issuing a pair of walks. The damage done against him came in the form of an RBI double by Brendan Donovan in the first inning and an RBI single by Masyn Winn in the fourth. The Red Sox staked him to a huge early lead, so all Dobbins needed to do was keep the train on the tracks to earn a victory in this one. He’ll head back to Triple-A Worcester after this start where he’ll continue to hone his craft until he’s called upon once more.
