Vladimir Guerrero Jr. collected a homer, three doubles and an intentional walk Monday as the Blue Jays defeated the Orioles 8-4 in the second game of a doubleheader.
What a day for Guerrero, who also went 3-for-5 with a homer in the first game. All five of his balls in play in the nightcap were hit at least 103.6 mph, and the one out had an xBA of .520. He joined Aaron Judge in becoming just the second player to collect four extra-base hits in a game this season. He’s now hitting .311/.380/.524, and while it doesn’t look like the Jays will trade him, they’d surely get a massive return if they change their minds.
