Marlins acquired C Agustin Ramirez, INF Jared Serna and INF Abrahan Ramirez from the Yankees for OF Jazz Chisholm Jr.
The 22-year-old backstop was considered one of the top prospects in the Yankees’ organization, and for very good reason. He has crushed minor league pitching this season to the tune of a .269/.358/.505 slash line with 20 long balls, 69 RBI and 18 stolen bases in 87 games between Double-A Somerset and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. It’s unclear if the Marlins plan to bump him up to the big leagues right away to see what he can do, or if he’ll start out his Marlins’ career at Triple-A Jacksonville. Once he does arrive, his skillset makes him a very intriguing target in deeper mixed leagues and two-catcher formats.
  • CLE Shortstop #13

Gabriel Arias is in the lineup for the opening contest of Saturday’s doubleheader against the Royals.
Arias was activated from the injured list ahead of Friday’s contest, which was ultimately postponed due to rain. The 25-year-old is back at shortstop and batting sixth on Saturday afternoon following a three-week absence recovering from a sprained left ankle.
Jones' power production can't be ignored
James Schiano evaluates the potential of New York Yankees top prospect Spencer Jones, explaining why the 24-year-old outfielder's power production can't be ignored as he's compiled 29 home runs in the minors this season.
  • PHI Right Fielder #8
Nick Castellanos is on the bench for Saturday’s contest against the Yankees.
It’s a rare day off for Castellanos, who has gotten into pretty much every game this season for Philadelphia, hitting .270/.311/.434 with 13 round-trippers, 56 RBI and four steals in 102 contests. The 33-year-old veteran corner outfielder takes a seat to open Saturday’s matinee at Yankee Stadium with Max Kepler patrolling right field.
  • NYY Right Fielder #99
Aaron Judge is not in the lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Phillies due to a right elbow issue.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters Judge underwent imaging to determine the severity of the issue that has seemingly affected his throws from right field in recent games. The 33-year-old franchise cornerstone, who’s appeared in all 103 games this season, is slashing a dominant .342/.449/.711 with 37 homers, 85 RBI, and six steals. He’ll get a breather Saturday against Phillies lefty Ranger Suárez, with Cody Bellinger in right field and Giancarlo Stanton at DH. We’ll provide additional updates on the situation as it develops this weekend.
  • NYY 3rd Baseman #19
Ryan McMahon is at third base and batting eighth on Saturday in his Yankees debut.
The McMahon era officially begins in the Bronx on Saturday with an interleague clash against the Phillies. The 30-year-old has been a fringe mixed-league option this season, slashing .217/.314/.403 with 16 homers and two steals over 100 games for Colorado. The transition to Yankee Stadium should boost his power output thanks to the short porch in right, but his fantasy appeal still skews toward deeper formats.
  • NYY Relief Pitcher #73
Yankees activated RHP Yerry De los Santos from the 15-day injured list.
De los Santos rejoins New York’s relief corps prior to Saturday afternoon’s showdown against the Phillies. The 27-year-old reliever compiled a strong 1.80 ERA across 20 innings (14 appearances) before hitting the injured list back on June 19 with right elbow discomfort. He’ll operate in middle relief and can be safely ignored for fantasy purposes.
  • NYY 2nd Baseman #90
Yankees optioned INF Jorbit Vivas to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
There simply isn’t a spot for Vivas within New York’s infield mix following the acquisition of veteran third baseman Ryan McMahon from the Rockies. The 24-year-old rookie has batted .161 (9-for-56) with one homer and five RBI in 29 games this season at the big-league level.
  • NYY Relief Pitcher #57
Yankees optioned RHP Scott Effross to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Effross was shipped back to the minors following Friday’s blowout loss to the Phillies where he was crushed for four runs in his lone inning of work. The 31-year-old righty should return at some point during the final two months of the season.
  • NYY Center Fielder #78
Spencer Jones was held out of Friday’s lineup for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre with back spasms.
There doesn’t appear to be any truth to social media speculation that Jones was pulled from Friday’s lineup because of a potential trade. The 24-year-old slugging prospect has crushed 13 home runs in 19 games at the Triple-A level, but has also struck out 31 percent of the time during that span. The 6-foot-7 power hitter’s omnipresent contact issues remain his largest obstacle to sustained fantasy relevance at the highest level, but his over-the-fence power ceiling is virtually unmatched in the prospect landscape.
  • BAL Catcher #72
Orioles C/1B prospect Samuel Basallo went 5-for-5 with a solo homer and two RBI on Friday for Triple-A Norfolk.
Basallo’s first career five-hit effort included three extra-base knocks, including a seventh-inning homer, as he reached the 20-homer threshold for the second time in his career. The 20-year-old power-hitting prodigy missed time earlier this week with an oblique injury, but didn’t show any lingering effects in one of the strongest performances of his career. Basallo would be capable of making an instant impact at the highest level, and offer immediate fantasy relevance, but the Orioles have shown zero sense to promote him to the majors before the 2025 season wraps up.
  • CHC Left Fielder #30
Kyle Tucker (knee) went 1-for-4 with an RBI on Friday in his return to the lineup.
Tucker returned to Chicago’s lineup for Friday’s series opener against the White Sox after sitting out Wednesday’s contest against Kansas City with a right knee contusion. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern moving forward.
