Rafael Devers (shoulder) is in the Red Sox starting lineup on Wednesday against the Rockies.
Devers hurt his shoulder during Tuesday’s game and seemed to be in a lot of pain, but it doesn’t seem like he’s going to miss any time. He’s in the lineup and batting clean-up on Wednesday against the Rockies.

Jake Bauers hit a homer while going 2-for-4 in a loss to the Cubs in Game 3 of the NLDS on Wednesday.
Bauers took Andrew Kittridge deep on an opposite-field blast that got the Brewers to within a run. He had another chance to come up big with the bases loaded, but Brad Keller struck him out on a 97 mph fastball. Bauers could be back in the lineup for Game 4 on Thursday, but it’s just as likely Milwaukee will go with Andrew Vaughn in that contest.

Michael Busch hit a leadoff homer to help the Cubs to a 4-3 win over the Brewers on Wednesday in Game 3 of the NLDS.
Busch tied the game at 1-1 with his solo blast off a wholly ineffective Quinn Priester, and Chicago would score three more runs in the first frame. The 27-year-old has homered three times in the playoffs, and is slashing a healthy .300/.364/.750 in the process. Chicago remains alive, but faces another must-win game Thursday in Game 4.
  • CHC Relief Pitcher #40
Brad Keller got the final four outs to pick up a save in Game 3 of the NLDS against the Brewers on Wednesday.
Keller issued a walk to load the bases in a 4-3 game in the eighth, but he was able to punch out Jake Bauers to escape the jam. He was able to breeze through the ninth to get the save as the Cubs staved off elimination for at least one more game.
  • CHC Starting Pitcher #50
Jameson Taillon allowed two runs in four innings in a start against the Brewers in Game 3 of the NLDS on Wednesday.
Taillon gave up a run in the first on a sac fly, but he should have been out of the inning if not for a gaffe in the infield that allowed a pop up to drop. The right-hander allowed another in the fourth on a single by Jake Bauers. Taillon walked one and struck out three, and likely will start a game in the NLCS if the Cubs can complete the comeback.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #46
Quinn Priester went just 2/3 of an inning while giving up four runs against the Cubs in Game 3 of the NLDS on Wednesday.
Priester was awful from the get, as he gave up a solo homer to Michael Busch to begin his outing, and he was charged for three more runs — two of them after exiting. The 25-year-old was a solid option for Milwaukee for the majority of 2025, but this was ugly. Priester could be a starting option if the Brewers advance to the NLCS, but it’s far from a guarantee.
  • PHI Center Fielder #2
Harrison Bader (groin) is absent from the starting lineup Wednesday against the Dodgers.
Bader was a gametime decision because of his groin issue, and while the 31-year-old will likely be available off the bench, he’ll sit to begin the must-win game for Philadelphia. With Bader out, the Phillies lineup will go: Trea Turner SS, Kyle Schwarber DH, Bryce Harper 1B, Alec Bohm 3B, Brandon Marsh CF, J.T. Realmuto C, Max Kepler LF, Nick Castellanos RF and Bryson Stott 2B.
  • DET Shortstop #28
Javier Báez knocked in four runs with a homer, a single and a groundout as the Tigers beat the Mariners 9-3 in Wednesday’s Game 4 to even up the ALDS.
Riley Greene and Gleyber Torres also went deep for the Tigers. Báez pulled a homer just foul prior his RBI single in the fifth. He then came back with a two-run blast the following inning, as the Tigers overcame a 3-0 deficit by scoring seven runs between the fifth and sixth. The homer was Báez’s first in the postseason since a two-homer NLCS Game 4 in 2017. He had been limited to one RBI through six games this October. With the Tigers’ win, the series will return to Seattle for a decisive Game 5 on Friday. Tarik Skubal will start with the Tigers, while the Mariners could turn to either George Kirby or Luis Castillo.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher #50
Bryce Miller was charged with two runs in 4 1/3 innings Wednesday in Game 4 against the Tigers.
Miller cruised for four innings, facing just one over the minimum and throwing only 44 pitches. The fifth, however, started single, groundout, RBI double, and though only one of the balls was hit hard, Miller was pulled. The Tigers went on to score three runs in the inning and four more in the sixth to turn what had been a 3-0 game around in a big way.
  • DET Starting Pitcher #12
Casey Mize allowed one run in three innings and struck out six in his Game 4 start against the Mariners on Wednesday.
Mize seemed to be in better shape today than when he was lifted after three innings against the Guardians last week, but the Tigers didn’t want him facing Josh Naylor for a second time in the fourth. He allowed just two hard-hit balls, which were also the only two hits. One was a double by Naylor in the second.
  • SEA 1st Baseman #12
Josh Naylor went 3-for-4 with a double and scored two of the Mariners’ three runs in Wednesday’s Game 4 loss.
Naylor was easily the player of the game on Seattle’s side. Besides the hits, he pulled off a nice double play at first and put down a good tag on Eduard Bazardo’s pickoff of Zach McKinstry in the sixth. Naylor, who avoided a stint on the paternity list after his baby was born on Monday’s off day, will surely be in the lineup for Game 5 against the Tigers on Friday.
