The 31-year-old righty has compiled a pedestrian 5.00 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 38/18 K/BB ratio across 36 innings (seven starts). It’s unclear how the Dodgers will fill his rotation spot, which comes up next on Tuesday against the Padres.

Gillispie returns to the majors to operate in long relief after spending a couple weeks back at Triple-A Jacksonville. The 27-year-old righty posted an inflated 8.65 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and 23/11 K/BB ratio across 26 innings (six starts) to open the year.
