Ohtani led off the game with a triple off Keider Montero and scored on a groundout. He later took Montero deep for a solo homer in the fifth, his 29th of the season and 200th of his career. Ohtani then drew a walk in the eighth and swiped second base before scoring on a sacrifice fly. The 30-year-old star is slashing .314/.400/.637 with 29 homers, 75 runs scored, 69 RBI, and 23 steals across 425 plate appearances.
