Simeon Woods-Richardson allowed two runs on three hits in six innings in a no-decision against the Astros on Sunday.
Woods-Richardson struck out four and walked two on the day while inducing 10 whiffs on 48 swings for a 21 percent whiff rate and 24 percent CSW. He doesn’t light up radar guns and never seems to be particularly dominant, but the rookie has a 3.48 ERA on the season and just keeps getting the job done. He’ll look to keep that going next week against a vulnerable Giants lineup.

Dodgers recalled RHP Alexis Díaz from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Díaz has been added to Los Angeles’ relief corps with closer Tanner Scott landing on the shelf with elbow inflammation. The 28-year-old former Reds closer figures to pitch in low-leverage spots as he continues to work on his command and control.
Dodgers relievers to add following Scott's injury
With the Dodgers "all but a lock" to add a reliever before the trade deadline following Tanner Scott's injury, Eric Samulski assesses which arms could be in line for precious save opportunities.
  • LAD Relief Pitcher #66
Dodgers placed LHP Tanner Scott on the 15-day injured list with left elbow inflammation.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said they’re still waiting for Dr. Neal ElAttrache to evaluate Scott’s MRI before determining next steps. He also added that he’s a lot more optimistic after Scott felt much better when he woke up on Tuesday morning. There should be a definitive update on his potential return timeline at some point in the coming days. The 31-year-old stopper’s absence throws the Dodgers’ bullpen into flux, with veteran Kirby Yates the most likely fill-in thanks to his prior closing experience.
  • CLE Starting Pitcher #57
Shane Bieber (elbow) allowed one run over three innings on Tuesday in a minor league rehab start for High-A Lake County.
Bieber piled up four strikeouts and threw 43 pitches (30 strikes) in his second rehab outing. The 30-year-old former fantasy ace will require a handful of additional outings before he’s ready to make his season debut, which will likely come at some point in mid-August.
  • HOU 3rd Baseman #15
Astros manager Joe Espada told reporters Tuesday that Isaac Paredes is dealing with a significant hamstring injury
Espada refused to divulge an exact timeline for Paredes, but it sounds like it’s going to be a lengthy absence. With just over two months left in the regular season there’s a strong possibility the All-Star third baseman is shelved for most of the home stretch. There should be a definitive update on his status in the coming days, but fantasy managers should prepare to be without Paredes for a while.
  • LAD 3rd Baseman #13
Max Muncy (knee) progressed to taking on-field batting practice on Tuesday.
Muncy continues to make rapid progress in his recovery from a bone bruise in his left knee. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters over the weekend that he could potentially return in a couple weeks. There are several additional hurdles for Muncy to clear before he returns to game action, but he’s on track to make it back to Los Angeles at some point in August.
  • STL Right Fielder #41
Alec Burleson (foot) has been added to the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Rockies.
Burleson managed to pass pregame tests on his injured right foot and has been added to the lineup for Tuesday’s showdown at Coors Field. He’ll be in right field and batting third. It’ll be Brendan Donovan moving back to second base with rookie Thomas Saggese being scratched.
  • MIL Right Fielder #10
Sal Frelick (hamstring) took on-field batting practice on Tuesday.
Frelick is aiming to return to Milwaukee’s lineup on Friday after hitting the injured list during the All-Star break with a hamstring strain. He’ll need to clear some additional hurdles, including running the bases at full strength, before he’s cleared to be activated.
  • ARI Relief Pitcher #18
Shelby Miller (forearm) faced hitters on Tuesday in a live batting practice session.
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo told reporters Miller got through 16 pitches before his back tightened up on him. The good news is that his arm felt fine. He’ll be re-evaluated in the coming days. The 34-year-old veteran stopper figures to be ready to kick off a rehab assignment at some point in early August.
  • ARI Shortstop #3
Diamondbacks sent SS Sergio Alcántara outright to Triple-A Reno.
Alcántara will remain with Arizona as emergency infield depth after being jettisoned from the club’s 40-man roster earlier this week. The 29-year-old shortstop was with the club for a pair of contests while Ketel Marte was away from the club tending to a personal matter. He got into one game earlier this season for the division-rival Giants.
  • LAD Right Fielder #37
Teoscar Hernández is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s contest against the Twins.
Hernández is batting .143 (4-for-28) with two extra-base hits and four RBI in seven games since returning from a three-game absence back on July 11 due to right foot soreness. The 32-year-old veteran slugger has been ice-cold at the dish since the start of June and it wouldn’t be shocking to see him sitting more often to get rookie Andy Pages in right field more often.
