  • COL Starting Pitcher
Tanner Gordon will be promoted from Triple-A Albuquerque to make his MLB debut against the Brewers on Sunday.
The 26-year-old right-hander has made nine starts in the minors this season, primarily at Triple-A Albuquerque, where he has compiled a 4.91 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and a 36/10 K/BB ratio over his 40 1/3 innings of work. Ryan Feltner, who had originally been scheduled to pitch on Sunday, will be pushed back until next week.
  • BAL Third Baseman #16
Coby Mayo is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Blue Jays.
Mayo will take a seat after going 0-for-9 with five strikeouts and a pair of walks over three games to open his big league career. It doesn’t come as a total shock that the 22-year-old top prospect is facing some adversity in his first taste of the majors. Fantasy managers should continue to exercise patience here as his extensive minor league track record suggests he’s going to start to heat up eventually.
  • CHC Left Fielder #27
Seiya Suzuki (neck) is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s showdown against the Twins.
It’s a positive sign for fantasy managers as Suzuki is back in right field and batting third on Tuesday night following a brief one-game absence due to neck stiffness. It doesn’t appear to be a major concern moving forward.
  • BOS Right Fielder #17
Tyler O’Neill (illness) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Royals.
O’Neill is presumably available off the bench, but he remains absent from Red Sox manager Alex Cora’s lineup card for the fourth consecutive contest due to an ongoing illness. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.
  • MIN Shortstop #72
Brooks Lee (shoulder) is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Cubs.
Lee is back in Minnesota’s lineup at second base and batting ninth following a two-game absence due to right shoulder soreness. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern moving forward. The 23-year-old rookie has been excellent so far since arriving in the majors, batting 250 (23-for-92) with two homers, 14 RBI and two steals over 103 plate appearances.
  • MIN Center Fielder #25
Byron Buxton (undisclosed) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the White Sox.
Buxton will miss his second straight contest following a precautionary exit over the weekend after a collision with the center-field wall on Sunday. It’ll be rookie Austin Martin filling in once again during his ongoing absence.
  • SF Center Fielder #17
Heliot Ramos (thumb) is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s contest against the Nationals.
Ramos is back in center field and batting second on Tuesday following a two-game absence due to right thumb soreness. The 24-year-old slugger has been one of the biggest fantasy breakouts of the 2024 campaign with 15 homers and 53 RBI across 320 plate appearances over 74 games.
  • PIT Center Fielder #22
Andrew McCutchen (quad) is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s contest against the Padres.
McCutchen is back at designated hitter and leading off during Tuesday’s series opener against San Diego following a one-game absence due to left quad tightness.
  • DET Center Fielder #31
Riley Greene (hamstring) took batting practice on Tuesday.
Greene is presumably getting close to heading out on a minor league rehab assignment after landing on the injured list nearly two weeks ago with a right hamstring strain.
  • DET Left Fielder #30
Kerry Carpenter (back) will kick off a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Toledo.
Carpenter has been on the shelf since late May due to a lingering back issue and several setbacks during his rehabilitation process. The 26-year-old is going to need at least a week or two of rehab contests to get back up to speed following an extended layoff. He’ll presumably be ready to return at some point in late August, but back issues are complicated matters.
  • NYM Third Baseman #27
Mark Vientos (ankle) is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Rockies.
Vientos is back at third base and batting fifth on Tuesday following a one-game absence after fouling a ball off his right ankle over the weekend. It doesn’t sound like a massive concern moving forward and it’s a welcome development for fantasy managers as the Mets kick off a series at hitter-friendly Coors Field.
