  • SF Relief Pitcher #65
Giants optioned RHP Landen Roupp to Triple-A Sacramento.
Roupp spent just one day in the majors and gave up three runs over 2 2/3 innings in relief against the Dodgers. There hasn’t been any word on who is taking his roster spot. Perhaps the Giants will call up Mason Black for a few days until Kyle Harrison rejoins the rotation.
  • TEX Relief Pitcher
Rangers selected the contract of RHP Daniel Robert from Triple-A Round Rock.
The 29-year-old Robert will be making his major league debut after posting a 2.35 ERA and a 40/7 K/BB ratio in 30 2/3 innings out of the bullpen for Round Rock. He’ll work in middle relief.
  • TEX Relief Pitcher #65
Rangers optioned RHP Grant Anderson to Triple-A Round Rock.
Anderson returns to the minors after throwing 31 pitches in two scoreless innings Sunday. It’s his fourth time being optioned to the minors since the season started.
  • TEX Relief Pitcher #70
Rangers designated LHP Antoine Kelly for assignment.
Kelly was the prospect the Rangers got from the Brewers for Matt Bush two years ago, and he was added to the 40-man after last season. He was a terrific minor league reliever last year, posting a 2.04 ERA and a 79/23 K/BB in 57 1/3 innings between Double- and Triple-A, but he had a 9.35 ERA and a 24/22 K/BB in 17 1/3 innings this season.
  • CWS Center Fielder #28
Tommy Pham was scratched from Monday’s lineup due to a dental issue, the White Sox said.
No trade, though that’s almost surely coming sometime this month. Corey Julks replaced Pham tonight.
  • LAA Right Fielder #3
Taylor Ward, out Monday after banging his knee during Sunday’s game, said he’ll likely be back in the lineup for Tuesday’s game.
Kevin Pillar is playing left field tonight against the Rangers.
  • CWS Center Fielder #28
Tommy Pham has been scratched from Monday’s lineup for the game against the Twins.
Hug watch? Pham was supposed to lead off tonight, but Corey Julks has replaced him with no immediate reason given.
  • ARI Starting Pitcher
Diamondbacks selected the contract of RHP Yilber Diaz from Triple-A Reno.
He’ll make his major league debut tonight against the Braves. Diaz, 23, had a 4.03 ERA and a 105/38 K/BB ratio in 76 innings in between Double- and Triple-A. Control issues could make it difficult for him to last as a starting pitcher, but he has a strong arm and two legitimate breaking balls. If he doesn’t make it as a starter, he’ll probably be very good in relief.
  • ARI Relief Pitcher #55
Diamondbacks optioned LHP Joe Jacques to Triple-A Reno.
Jacques gave up two runs in 1 1/3 innings in his lone appearance for the Diamondbacks.
  • MIN Shortstop #4
Carlos Correa is in Monday’s starting lineup after leaving Sunday’s game with a bruised finger.
Correa is starting at shortstop and batting second tonight against the White Sox.
  • LAA Third Baseman #6
Angels activated 3B Anthony Rendon from the 60-day injured lust.
Rendon returns from a 2 1/2-month absence without a rehab assignment because it’s the Angels and no one really cares. He’ll alternate between third base and DH for now. He might offer some value in deeper mixed leagues while healthy.
