  • NYM Relief Pitcher #71
Mets placed RHP Sean Reid-Foley on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 20, with a right shoulder impingement.
Reid-Foley missed time earlier this season with a right shoulder impingement and will likely be out until after next month’s All-Star break. The 28-year-old righty holds a strong 1.66 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 25/14 K/BB ratio across 21 2/3 innings (23 appearances) since making his season debut back in late April.
  • TEX Shortstop #5
Corey Seager was removed from Saturday’s game against the Orioles after being hit by a pitch on his left hand in the fifth inning.
On the seventh pitch of his at-bat in the fifth inning, Cade Povich tried to come inside with a 90.5 mph sinker and clipped Seager near his left hand/wrist. Seager immediately retreated to the clubhouse, didn’t make any attempt to stay in the game. He’ll head for X-rays to see if there’s any structural damage. All fantasy managers can do now is wait and hope for the best. The Rangers should have an update on his status shortly.
  • NYM Third Baseman #27
Mark Vientos went 2-for-4 with a solo home run against the Astros on Saturday.
Vientos’ home run was his 10th of the season. He hit a solo shot off Framber Valdez in the third inning. Vientos is hitting .297 with a .933 OPS and 23 RBI in 128 at-bats with New York this year. He should be rostered in all formats at this point.
  • HOU Center Fielder #6
Jake Meyers went 2-for-3 with four runs scored, a home run and a walk against the Mets on Saturday.
Meyers’ home run was his eighth of the season. He started the scoring with a solo shot off Tylor Megill in the second inning and ended up scoring four runs himself in the contest. Meyers is hitting .262 with a .775 OPS and 30 RBI on the season.
  • HOU Third Baseman #2
Alex Bregman went 1-for-5 with two RBI against the Mets on Saturday.
Bregman capped the Astros’ comeback against the Mets with a two-run single in the eighth inning to give Houston a 7-6 lead. The 30-year-old third basemen is hitting .248 with a .706 OPS and 37 RBI on the season.
  • HOU Relief Pitcher #71
Josh Hader tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Mets on Saturday.
Hader’s save was his 12th of the season and fifth of June. He struck out two batters in the process. After allowing nine runs in his first 11 appearances, Hader’s allowed only six runs in his last 24 appearances.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #38
Tylor Megill allowed four runs in 5 1/3 innings and got a no-decision against the Astros on Saturday.
Megill gave up five hits, walked three and struck out six. He pitched well enough to win and looked like he was going to before the Mets bullpen blew a late lead. Megill has a 5.08 ERA on the season, but he’s pitched better than that as his xFIP is 3.92. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Nationals on the road next week.
  • HOU Starting Pitcher #59
Framber Valdez allowed six runs in 4 2/3 innings and got a no-decision in the Astros’ 9-6 victory over the Mets on Saturday.
Valdez gave up 10 hits, walked three and struck out five. He allowed at least five runs for the second time in his last four starts. Valdez’ ERA is 4.11 on the year, though there is some hope for him to bounce back given his 3.55 xFIP. The 30-year-old left-hander is set to face the Blue Jays on the road next week.
  • LAA Center Fielder #27
Mike Trout (knee) told reporters on Saturday that he plans to return from the injured list before the end of July.
The 32-year-old superstar also noted that he’s pretty much pain-free except for some occasional soreness. Trout also admitted that he has yet to start running and there’s currently no timetable for him to do so. Interesting. This is starting to sound like a situation where the Angels are going to provide no updates, then suddenly one day he’ll be activated from the injured list and return to the lineup without anyone being the wiser.
  • ATL Left Fielder #14
Adam Duvall hit a walkoff single to give Atlanta a 2-1 victory over Pittsburgh on Saturday in 10 innings.
Duvall singled home Luke Williams in the bottom of the 10th to give Atlanta a victory and Duvall his 20th RBI of 2024. The 35-year-old outfielder went hitless prior to that knock and is hitting a paltry .167/.239/.290, but Atlanta and Duvall probably aren’t thinking about that too much right now. Fantasy managers just shouldn’t consider adding him until — or if — he gets going again.
  • ATL Center Fielder #24
Jarred Kelenic went 2-for-3 with a homer in an extra-inning win Saturday over the Pirates.
Never give up on talent. Kelenic smoked a solo shot off Paul Skenes to lead off the bottom of the first, and he’s up to nine homers in the first half of the season. The 24-year-old also singled and drew a walk while improving his slash to .283/.329/.466. It’s understandable if fantasy players are skeptical of Kelenic given his previous struggles, but again, there’s a reason this was one of the best prospects in baseball a short time ago. There’s no question he’s capable of keeping this up and then some.
