  • MIL Catcher #24
William Contreras is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Angels.
Contreras is back at designated hitter following a one-game absence for precautionary reasons following a scary-looking home-plate collision over the weekend. The positive development here for the Brewers, and fantasy managers, is that the 26-year-old backstop has been cleared of a potential concussion.
  • ARI First Baseman #53
Christian Walker went 4-for-5 with two home runs, three runs scored, and four RBI in a 12-4 win over the Dodgers on Wednesday.
After drawing a walk in the first inning, Walker knocked a base hit in the third for his second hit. He followed with a solo homer in the fourth, his second in as many days against the Dodgers. Walker added a double in the sixth and scored on a home run by Lourdes Gurriel Jr. before blasting his second homer of the game with a three-run shot in the ninth. The 33-year-old slugger is hitting .267/.339/.506 with 20 homers and 59 RBI across 369 plate appearances.

  • ARI Starting Pitcher #64
Cristian Mena allowed four runs with two strikeouts over three innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Wednesday.
Mena got into trouble immediately in this one, giving up a hit and a walk to put two runners on for Freddie Freeman, who took him deep for a three-run blast to put the Dodgers ahead. Teoscar Hernandez followed with a solo homer. Mena tossed two more scoreless frames and end his day after three innings with two strikeouts. He’ll likely retreat back to Triple-A following the spot start against the Dodgers.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher #35
Gavin Stone allowed four runs with three strikeouts over three innings in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.
This wasn’t one Stone’s best outings as the Diamondbacks chased him after just three frames. A base hit and two walks loaded the bases before the Diamondbacks brought a run in on a sacrifice fly in the first inning. He worked around a bases-loaded jam in the second, then gave up three runs, including a two-run blast by Gabriel Moreno, in the third. That was it for Stone, ending his day with a 3.03 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and a 73/28 K/BB ratio across 92 innings. He’ll take on the Phillies in Philadelphia on Tuesday.
