  • ARI Relief Pitcher #64
Diamondbacks claimed RHP Gavin Hollowell off waivers from the Rockies.
Hollowell will take the 40-man roster spot of Logan Allen after Allen was designated for assignment last week. The 26-year-old right-hander will provide some depth for the bullpen, and could work in the middle innings for Arizona this summer.
  • MIL Right Fielder #22
Christian Yelich went 3-for-4 with a homer, double, three runs scored and three RBI on Sunday afternoon, leading the Brewers to a 9-2 rout over the Dodgers in Los Angeles.
Yelich opened the scoring in Sunday’s contest with a 418-foot (107.2 mph EV) two-run blast off of rookie left-hander Justin Wrobleski in the fourth inning. He then singled and scored on a two-run knock by Blake Perkins in the eighth inning. Yelich also tacked on an RBI double in the ninth and scored on a run-scoring double by Garrett Mitchell. He’s having an outstanding season in the middle of the Brewers’ lineup, slashing .329/.407/.533 with 11 homers, 41 RBI and 19 stolen bases.
  • MIL Catcher #13
Eric Haase crushed his first home run as a member of the Brewers on Sunday, helping to lead his squad to a lopsided victory over the Dodgers.
The 31-year-old backstop walloped a 374-foot (103.3 mph EV) two-run shot off of Justin Wrobleski in the fifth inning that extended the Brewers’ early lead to 4-0. He also led off the ninth inning with a single and raced around to score on an RBI double off the bat of Christian Yelich. With his two-hit attack, Haase is now hitting .455/.455/.727 with a homer and three RBI in his first 11 plate appearances with the Brewers.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #60
Dallas Keuchel struggled with his command in a no-decision against the Brewers on Sunday, issuing five free passes over 4 1/3 innings of shutout baseball.
The 36-year-old southpaw also allowed three hits and didn’t strike out a batter in the contest. The five walks led to an elevated pitch count of 94 (42 strikes) through 4 1/3 innings, which cost Keuchel a shot at earning a victory in this one. He got just five swings and misses on the afternoon while registering a miserable CSW of only 21 percent. He’ll look to finish the first half strong as he carries a 4.61 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and a 9/8 K/BB ratio (13 2/3 innings) into Saturday’s matchup against the Nationals.
  • LAD Designated Hitter #17
Shohei Ohtani went 1-for-5 and stole a pair of bases as the Dodgers fell to the Brewers on Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles.
Ohtani smacked a one-out single off of Dallas Keuchel in the third inning then proceeded to swipe second and third base before getting stranded there. He has now eclipsed the 20-steal plateau for the third time in his career and has already matched his total from the 2023 season. The 30-year-old superstar is slashing .314/.399/.637 with 28 homers, 65 RBI and 20 stolen bases through his first 88 games with the Dodgers.
  • LAD Shortstop #3
Chris Taylor socked a two-run dinger on Sunday as the Dodgers fell to the Brewers in Los Angeles.
The 33-year-old utilityman got the Dodgers on the board in the sixth inning with a 403-foot (106.1 mph EV) two-run shot off of Jakob Junis. That would turn out to be the extent of their offense. Taylor also drew a walk in the contest, finishing the afternoon 1-for-3. He has struggled for the most part this season — slashing a mere .155/.262/.256 with three homers and 14 RBI in 150 plate appearances.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher
Justin Wrobleski struggled in a losing effort against the Brewers in his MLB debut on Sunday, giving up four runs on five hits over his five frames.
The rookie left-hander struck out four batters on the afternoon while issuing a pair of free passes. Wrobleski cruised through the first three innings unscathed until he served up a two-run homer to Christian Yelich in the fourth inning. He was also tagged by Eric Haase for a two-run shot in the fifth. Wrobleski generated nine swings and misses on 76 pitches on the afternoon, registering a CSW of 30 percent. It’s likely that he’ll head back to Triple-A Oklahoma City following this spot start.
  • KC Shortstop #7
Bobby Witt Jr. was named to his first American League All-Star team on Sunday.
It’s the first of what should be many All-Star nominations for the 24-year-old superstar shortstop. Witt has been outstanding this season, slashing .324/.372/.564 with 15 homers, 61 RBI, 72 runs scored and 22 stolen bases. He’ll be joined on the American League squad by fellow reserves Salvador Perez, Carlos Correa, Rafael Devers, Marcus Semien, Kyle Tucker, Josh Naylor, Isaac Paredes, Jarren Duran, Riley Greene and David Fry.
  • LAD First Baseman #5
Freddie Freeman was named to his eighth National League All-Star team on Sunday.
Freeman is one of six Dodgers to be named to the National League squad. Shohei Ohtani had already been named as the league’s starting designated hitter and Tyler Glasnow was named among the pitchers on Sunday. In addition, Teoscar Hernandez, Will Smith and Mookie Betts were named to the team with Freeman as reserves. Joining them as All-Star reserves announced on Sunday were Elly De La Cruz, CJ Abrams, Ryan McMahon, Jackson Merrill, Heliot Ramos, Bryan Reynolds, Marcell Ozuna, Luis Arraez and Pete Alonso.
  • DET Starting Pitcher #29
Tarik Skubal was named to his first American League All-Star team on Sunday.
The 27-year-old southpaw racked up a career-best 13 strikeouts in a victory over the Reds on Sunday afternoon, then got the news that he would be heading to the All-Star Game. He’s certainly deserving, having posted a 10-3 record, 2.37 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and a 132/20 K/BB ratio over 110 innings in his first 18 starts. He’ll be joined on the pitching staff for the American League All-Stars by Corbin Burnes, Garrett Crochet, Tanner Houck, Seth Lugo, Cole Ragans, Logan Gilbert, Tyler Anderson, Mason Miller, Kirby Yates, Clay Holmes and Emmanuel Clase.
  • PIT Starting Pitcher #30
Pirates’ rookie right-hander Paul Skenes was named to his first National League All-Star team on Sunday, despite having logged just 59 1/3 innings at the big-league level.
It’s the first of what should be many All-Star game nods for the studly 22-year-old hurler who has gone 5-0 with a 2.12 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and a 78/12 K/BB ratio through his first 10 MLB starts. He’ll be joined on the N.L. All-Star squad by fellow pitchers Ranger Suarez, Tyler Glasnow, Shota Imanaga, Reynaldo Lopez, Logan Webb, Chris Sale, Zack Wheeler, Ryan Helsley, Tanner Scott, Robert Suarez, Matt Strahm and Jeff Hoffman.
