  • BOS Third Baseman #11
Rafael Devers went 1-for-3 and drove in a pair of runs on Sunday night as the Red Sox triumphed over the Yankees.
Devers delivered a sacrifice fly off of Marcus Stroman in the fourth inning that extended the Red Sox’ early lead to 4-1. He then added a valuable insurance run in the seventh with an RBI single that plated Jarren Duran to make it a 5-3 game. Devers then raced around to score on Connor Wong’s two-run triple. He’s having another solid season at the dish, slashing .284/.378/.550 with 13 homers, 36 RBI and one stolen base.
  • PHI Left Fielder #12
Kyle Schwarber (groin) is scheduled to run the bases on Saturday.
Schwarber is poised to complete his final step towards returning this weekend and appears a near-lock to return on Tuesday when the Phillies kick off a highly-anticipated series against the Dodgers.
  • MIA Starting Pitcher #27
Edward Cabrera (shoulder) will start on Sunday against the White Sox.
It’s a nice landing spot for Cabrera, who has looked sharp in a handful of recent minor league rehab starts. The 26-year-old righty has been out since early May due to a right shoulder impingement. He’s showcased immense talent in the majors over the last few years, but hasn’t quite put it all together consistently enough for fantasy managers to make a significant impact. He should be rostered in deeper mixed leagues, even if there are going to be fluctuations from start-to-start from a results standpoint.
  • CHC Starting Pitcher #28
Kyle Hendricks was removed from Saturday’s start against the Angels due to lower back tightness.
It’s concerning because Hendricks missed a couple weeks earlier this season due to a back issue. The 34-year-old righty was tagged for two runs on four hits over two innings before leaving Saturday’s contest at Wrigley Field. He’ll presumably undergo some additional testing to determine the severity of the issue.
  • ATL Center Fielder #18
Ramón Laureano (back) remains out of the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Phillies.
Laureano will miss his ninth straight game since last Wednesday due to an ongoing back issue.
  • CWS Starting Pitcher #45
White Sox manager Pedro Grifol told reporters Saturday that Garrett Crochet will likely have a limited pitch count in his final start prior to the All-Star break.
Crochet has been the biggest name floated as a possible trade candidate in the coming weeks and it’s going to take a considerable haul to meet Chicago’s asking price. The 25-year-old southpaw has managed to stay healthy and finally put everything together in a stellar first-half breakthrough, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that the White Sox are going to limit his workload leading up to the trade deadline in a few weeks.
  • TOR First Baseman #2
Blue Jays activated 1B Justin Turner from the paternity list.
Turner is back for Saturday’s game against the Mariners following a three-game stint away from the club on paternity leave. The 39-year-old veteran slugger holds a lackluster .734 OPS with five homers and 27 RBI in 284 plate appearances over 74 games this season in his Toronto debut.
  • TOR Shortstop #47
Blue Jays optioned INF/OF Addison Barger to Triple-A Buffalo.
With everyone healthy, there isn’t a clear path to at-bats for Barger in Toronto at the moment. The 24-year-old has added some defensive versatility to his game this season, but has batted .150 (9-for-60) with zero homers and one steal in 63 plate appearances over 20 games in the majors. He’s going to get another shot eventually, but it might not be in the near future.
  • WAS Third Baseman #38
Nationals recalled INF Trey Lipscomb from Triple-A Rochester.
Lipscomb is back for another stint with the Nationals after batting .237 (28-for-118) with one homers and 10 steals across 133 plate appearances over 38 games earlier this year. The 24-year-old rookie’s stolen base potential is intriguing for fantasy managers in extremely deep mixed leagues and NL-only formats. He’s going to get some extended runway at third base moving forward following Washington’s decision to jettison veteran Nick Senzel.
  • WAS Center Fielder #13
Nationals designated INF/OF Nick Senzel for assignment.
The Nationals are starting to pivot towards playing some of their younger alternatives, which means Senzel loses his roster spot to prospect Trey Lipscomb. The versatile 29-year-old former top prospect signed a one-year, $2 million deal with the Nationals during the offseason and posted a lackluster .663 OPS with seven homers and one steal in 235 plate appearances over 64 games. There’s a chance another team is willing to pick him up off waivers in the coming days.
  • PIT Relief Pitcher #72
Pirates recalled RHP Ryder Ryan from Triple-A Indianapolis.
Ryan finds himself back in the majors with Daulton Jefferies (elbow) back on the injured list. The 29-year-old righty has made posted a respectable 3.46 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 14/7 K/BB ratio across 13 innings (11 appearances) this season for Pittsburgh. He’ll continue to operate in middle relief at the highest level.
