Brewers’ manager Pat Murphy confirmed Saturday that rookie right-hander Carlos Rodriguez will draw another start on Monday against the Angels in Los Angeles.
The 22-year-old hurler was knocked around for two runs on seven hits over 3 2/3 innings against the Blue Jays in his big-league debut on Tuesday. Given the fact that he struggled to a 5.17 ERA and 1.29 WHIP over 62 2/3 innings at Triple-A Nashville before he was recalled, and was then hit hard by the light-hitting Blue Jays, it’s probably best to avoid Rodriguez for fantasy purposes despite his upcoming two-start week.

Braves RHP prospect Hurston Waldrep allowed six runs on two hits with four walks in just 2/3 of an inning for Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.
It’s been a really tough season for the 23-year-old this season, who has a 6.35 ERA, 1.75 WHIP, and 56/34 K/BB ratio in 51 innings at Triple-A this season. The first-round pick in the 2023 season is unlikely to get a crack at big league innings this season unless he can figure out some of his command issues.
Fantasy impact of Mets SS Lindor breaking his toe
James Schiano shares the latest news regarding star shortstop Francisco Lindor, who is day-to-day after breaking his toe, also explaining how the injury will affect Luisangel Acuña, Ronny Mauricio and fantasy managers.
  • STL Starting Pitcher #34
Zach Plesac allowed four runs on six hits in four innings for Triple-A Memphis on Sunday.
The 30-year-old veteran struck out two and walked two on the day. He was making his first start with the Cardinals organization after pitching to a 2.84 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 33/16 K/BB ratio over 38 innings in the independent Atlantic League. He figures to serve as organizational depth this season.
  • CWS 1st Baseman #25
Andrew Vaughn went 2-for-3 with a walk, a home run, and four RBI for Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.
Vaughn is hitting .261 in 11 games at Triple-A with two home runs, 11 RBI, and a 9/8 K/BB ratio. There’s a chance the former 3rd overall pick from the 2019 MLB Draft gets another chance with the White Sox this summer or perhaps a fresh start with a new team after the trade deadline.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #47
Frankie Montas (lat) allowed three runs on four hits in 3 2/3 innings for Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday.
The veteran also walked three and struck out two while allowing two home runs. He threw 76 pitches in the outing but struggled with his command and has now allowed 12 earned runs on seven home runs in 12 innings during his rehab stint. With the Mets pitching well at the big league level, there is no need to rush Montas back, so we should expect him to make a few more rehab starts.
  • CLE Center Fielder #86
Guardians OF prospect Chase DeLauter went 3-for-5 with a double, three RBI, and one run scored for Triple-A Columbus on Sunday.
DeLauter has hit .250/.362/.400 in 11 games at Triple-A with one home run, five RBI, and six runs scored. The oft-injured 23-year-old has plenty of talent but needs to prove that he can stay on the field. He has not played more than 57 games in any of his professional seasons. If he can stay healthy and put together some solid production, there’s a good chance that he could get at-bats for the Guardians by the end of the summer. He would be a must-add prospect if he does get the call.
  • BAL Catcher #72
Orioles C/1B prospect Samuel Basallo went 2-for-3 with a walk and a three-run home run for Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday.
The 20-year-old now has 13 home runs, 26 RBI, and a .952 OPS on the season. Basallo has been heating up of late, and with Ryan Mountcastle out for the next two months, there could be a window of opportunity for their young prospect. He’s still likely behind Heston Kjerstad and Coby Mayo in the pecking order for designated hitter at-bats, but neither of those guys has really run away with the opportunity, so it remains a situation to monitor.
  • WSH Starting Pitcher #24
Nationals RHP prospect Cade Cavalli threw five scoreless innings for Triple-A Rochester on Sunday.
Cavalli struck out four and walked none while allowing only two hits in the outing. Over his last five starts, he’s posted a 1.52 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 30/6 K/BB ratio in 23 2/3 innings. The Nationals will be cautious with his innings, given that he missed all of last season after undergoing Tommy John surgery. Still, the right-hander should be up in the big leagues towards the end of the summer and could be a factor in fantasy leagues.
  • BOS Catcher #75
Carlos Narváez went 2-for-4 and clubbed a three-run homer on Sunday night, propelling the Red Sox to an 11-7 victory over the Yankees.
The 26-year-old backstop crushed a 372-foot (101.0 mph EV) three-run shot off of Carlos Rodón in the sixth inning that turned a 3-2 deficit into a 5-3 advantage for the Red Sox. Narváez also drew a walk and singled in the ballgame. On the season, he has slashed a respectable .282/.361/.459 with six homers and 22 RBI in his first 191 plate appearances.
  • BOS 2nd Baseman #28
Kristian Campbell launched a two-run homer on Sunday night, helping to lead the Red Sox past the Yankees in New York.
The 22-year-old rookie infielder tagged Yankees’ starter Carlos Rodón for a 349-foot (99.0 mph EV) two-run shot in the fifth inning that tied the game at two runs apiece. It was just his second home run since April 29 and first since May 13. Campbell also drew a walk and singled in the ballgame, finishing the night 2-for-3. On the season, he’s now slashing .233/.323/.364 with five long balls, 20 RBI and two stolen bases in 234 plate appearances.
  • BOS 3rd Baseman #11
Rafael Devers went 1-for-4 with a solo homer and a pair of runs scored on Sunday night as the Red Sox bested the Yankees in New York.
Devers did his damage in the ninth inning, crushing a leadoff 393-foot (111.2 mph EV) solo shot off of Brent Headrick that extended the Red Sox’ advantage to 10-5. He was also hit by a pitch in the sixth inning and rode home on a three-run shot by Carlos Narvaez. The 28-year-old slugger is now slashing a healthy .283/.407/.522 with 14 homers and 57 RBI on the season.
