Brewers optioned RHP Corbin Martin to Triple-A Nashville.
Martin didn’t get a chance to pitch for the Brewers, as he was only up for one day. Jared Koenig will head back to Milwaukee in the corresponding transaction.

The Yankees are planning to activate Ian Hamilton from the injured list Tuesday.
Is it another one-day stay for Adam Ottavino? The only Yankees reliever with options is Fernando Cruz, and it’s unlikely the team will stick him in Triple-A. Will Warren is also optionable, but the Yankees will likely need him to make one more start before Clarke Schmidt is activated. Hamilton, returning from a viral illness, has given up four runs in 2 1/3 innings during his rehab assignment,
  • MIA Starting Pitcher #22
Marlins placed RHP Sandy Alcantara on the paternity list.
Alcantara was supposed to start Sunday versus the Braves, but the game was rained out. He’ll take his next turn Friday against the Nationals.
  • MIA Starting Pitcher #83
Marlins recalled RHP Valente Bellozo from Triple-A Jacksonville.
Bellozo allowed one run over 4 1/3 innings against the Pirates while starting the third game of the Marlins’ season. He will make another spot start against the Mets tonight and then likely return to Triple-A.
  • SEA Relief Pitcher #65
Mariners sent RHP Hagen Danner outright to Triple-A Tacoma.
Danner, who was claimed after being waived by the Blue Jays in January, cleared waivers this time. The 26-year-old reliever gave up five runs in 3 1/3 innings in his attempt to win a spot in the Seattle bullpen this spring.
  • NYY Second Baseman #26
DJ LeMahieu will begin a rehab assignment Friday if workouts the next three days go as hoped.
LeMahieu opened the season on the injured list with a strained left calf. He had just two at-bats this spring before getting hurt, and the Yankees have thus far gotten solid production from their third basemen, so the team will definitely want him to spend several days in the minors before he’s activated.
  • STL Relief Pitcher #57
Cardinals transferred LHP Zack Thompson from the 15-day to the 60-day injured list.
Thompson suffered a torn lat muscle five weeks ago, and he’s now out through at least late May. The 27-year-old spent most of last year as a Triple-A starter and was expected to compete for a bullpen this spring.
  • STL Catcher #48
Cardinals placed C Iván Herrera on the 10-day injured list with left knee inflammation.
Herrera’s knee seemed a lot more than “inflamed” yesterday, but we’ll see. It’s a bad break after a scorching start that has him currently leading the NL with a 1.048 slugging percentage. Pedro Pagés will be the Cardinals’ primary catcher in his absence.
  • STL Catcher #5
Cardinals selected the contract of C Yohel Pozo from Triple-A Memphis.
Pozo, 27, returns to the majors for the first time since 2021, when he hit .284/.312/.378 with the Rangers. A very aggressive hitter, Pozo has struck out just nine percent of the time and walked four percent of the time during his minor league career. He’ll serve as Pedro Pagés’ backup until Iván Herrera returns.
  • COL Right Fielder #27
Rockies optioned OF Jordan Beck to Triple-A Albuquerque.
The Zac Veen callup isn’t yet official, but as reported on Sunday night, Beck is returning to Triple-A. Given his lack of professional experience (he’s played a total of 89 games between Double- and Triple-A), this is definitely the right move if the Rockies weren’t going to play him regularly. Beck did start the first four games of the season, but he has been on the bench for three of five since. He was 3-for-20 with no extra-base hits, though he did have three walks and three steals.
  • CWS Relief Pitcher #53
White Sox optioned LHP Brandon Eisert to Triple-A Charlotte.
No countermove yet, and since the White Sox are off today, it might not come until tomorrow. Tyler Gilbert returning from the IL seems like one possibility. Eisert, claimed off waivers from the Rays in February, had pitched three times for the White Sox, giving up four runs in three innings.
