Dodgers placed RHP Kyle Hurt on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to April 17, with right shoulder inflammation.
Hurt heads to the injured list after posting a solid 1.35 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 3/1 K/BB ratio across 6 2/3 innings (three appearances, one start) this season for Los Angeles. No word yet on how long he’ll wind up being sidelined, but shoulder issues can be extremely complicated matters. There should be an update on his status in the coming days.

Braves reassigned LHP Chasen Shreve and RHP Jordan Weems to minor league camp.
The latest cuts reduce Atlanta’s spring training roster to 50 players. Shreve and Weems were in camp as non-roster invitees battling for spots in the club’s season-opening bullpen. They’ll open the year back at Triple-A Gwinnett as emergency relief depth.
  • NYM Shortstop #2
Luisangle Acuña was removed from Saturday’s game with a left arm contusion.
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters afterwards that Acuña is okay and will be re-evaluated later this weekend after being hit by a pitch on the left arm by Rays ace Shane McClanahan during Saturday’s Grapefruit League showdown. The 22-year-old isn’t being sent for X-rays or any additional testing, which is a positive sign. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.
  • NYM Center Fielder #19
Jose Siri hit a three-run homer against his former team and walked in the Mets’ 10-1 rout of the Rays on Saturday.
Walks are about as frequent as home runs for Siri; he 43 round-trippers and 51 free passes the last two years. Siri should open the season as the Mets’ primary center fielder, but he’ll need to be bounce back from last season’s .187/.255/.366 line for the Rays in order to hold down the job.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher
Blade Tidwell turned in an immaculate inning and struck out five in two frames Saturday against the Rays.
Tidwell fanned Josh Lowe, Eloy Jiménez and José Caballero on nine pitches in the second. The 23-year-old Tidwell, a 2022 second-round pick, went 3-13 with a 4.86 ERA and a 121/64 K/BB over 122 1/3 innings in the upper minors last season. He’s probably going to wind up as a reliever in the majors, but he could be a very good one. First, he’ll likely open this season as a starter in Triple-A.
  • TB Starting Pitcher #18
Shane McClanahan gave up three hits over two scoreless innings against the Mets in his spring debut Saturday.
McClanahan struck out one and walked none, though he did plunk Luisangel Acuña. This wasn’t a Statcast game, but the ballpark radar put McClanahan in the upper 90s with his fastball, according to the Tampa Bay Times’ Marc Topkin. He’s already been names the Rays’ Opening Day starter despite missing all of last year following Tommy John.
  • ATL Relief Pitcher #52
Dylan Lee started and pitched two scoreless innings as the Braves and Blue Jays played to a 1-1 tie Saturday.
Lee hasn’t gotten much work in close games through the years, but he has a 2.58 ERA in 136 innings for the Braves since debuting in 2021. He should be in line for a more significant bullpen role now with A.J. Minter gone and Joe Jiménez hurt. However, he does have options remaining if the Braves ever want to stash him in Triple-A again. It happened twice last year.
  • TOR Left Fielder #36
Davis Schneider collected two singles in three at-bats Saturday against the Braves.
Schneider’s first two months in the big leagues at the end of 2023 were awesome, and his first two months of last season were also quite good. After that, though, he struggled mightily to put the bat on the ball for the final four months of last season, coming in at .159/.234/.264 in 273 plate appearances. It looks like he’s penciled in for a spot on Toronto’s bench anyway, but he’ll probably be limited to occasional starts against lefties early on.
  • MIA Catcher #4
Nick Fortes was scratched from Saturday’s lineup with back spasms.
The interesting wrinkle here is top prospect Agustin Ramirez drawing his first start behind the dish in his place. The 23-year-old top prospect has posted some impressive exit velocities in Grapefruit League contests and should break into the big leagues at some point during the 2025 campaign.
  • NYY Right Fielder #27
Giancarlo Stanton will open the season on the injured list after receiving PRP injections in both elbows.
No surprise here. The Yankees announced that Stanton remains away from the team due to a personal matter, but he’s expected to return to spring training next week. There is no official timetable for the 35-year-old’s return as he continues to receive treatment to address a lingering issue with both elbows that has kept him on the shelf this spring. There should be some clarity on his status in the coming weeks, but Stanton can be safely ignored for fantasy purposes outside of extremely deep mixed leagues and AL-only formats.
  • ARI Center Fielder #15
Randal Grichuk was scratched from Saturday’s lineup due to glute soreness.
If this isn’t peak spring training, we’re not sure what else to tell you. It obviously doesn’t sound like a serious concern. Grichuk re-signed with Arizona on a one-year, $5 million contract back in early February. He’ll open the regular season in a lefty-mashing corner outfield platoon role, which doesn’t translate to a ton of fantasy value.
