  • TEX Starting Pitcher #43
Rangers recalled RHP Owen White from Triple-A Round Rock.
The Rangers needed a fresh arm to provide innings out of the bullpen over the weekend and White was one of the few healthy options remaining on their 40-man roster. He can be safely ignored for fantasy purposes. Jack Leiter was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.
  • SF Shortstop #49
Tyler Fitzgerald belted his 10th home run of the season on Friday night, powering the Giants to a 3-0 victory over the Reds.
Fitzgerald did his part to support Blake Snell’s no-hitter on Friday, smacking an RBI double in the second inning and then crushing a 391-foot solo shot off of Nick Martinez in the seventh that capped off the scoring on the night. The 26-year-old phenom also singled in the ballgame, finishing the night 3-for-5. On the season, he’s slashing a robust .313/.371/.633 with 10 homers and 21 RBI in just 140 plate appearances.
  • OAK Third Baseman #22
Miguel Andujar went 3-for-4 with a triple and RBI in a win over the Dodgers on Friday.
  • OAK Left Fielder #25
Brent Rooker hit a three-run homer Friday in a 6-5 win for the Athletics over the Dodgers on Friday.
Rooker gave the Athletics a 6-2 lead with his 27th homer with a couple runners on against Joe Kelly. The 29-year-old has been absolutely terrific in 2024, and while his .293 average may be in for some regression over the final two months, the power production should remain close to elite until the season closes.
  • LAD Designated Hitter #17
Shohei Ohtani hit a three-run homer in a loss to the Athletics on Friday.
With the Dodgers trailing 6-2, Ohtani got the Dodgers back into the game in the ninth with a three-run shot off Tyler Ferguson. That’s the 33rd homer of the season for the 30-year-old, and he’s up to 79 RBI in his first year with the Dodgers. A truly remarkable baseball player.
  • OAK Starting Pitcher #68
Joey Estes picked up a win while allowing two runs over six innings against the Dodgers on Friday.
It didn’t appear this was going to be a strong effort for Estes early on, as he gave up a two-run homer to Teoscar Hernandez in the first frame. From that point on, the 22-year-old was outstanding; holding the Dodgers without a hit over the final five innings while striking out six versus two walks. Estes lowered his ERA to 4.79 with this start, but he’s pitched better than those numbers suggest. He’s worth streaming consideration against weaker lineups.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher #35
Gavin Stone was charged for five runs in four-plus innings to pick up a loss Friday to the Athletics.
Stone was able to strike out five against one walk, but he allowed eight hits and two homers. One of the runs allowed came after he had exited the game on a two-run blast by Brent Rooker, but it’s safe to say Stone deserved the outcome he received Friday night. After allowing just a run over five innings two starts ago, Stone has given up nine over 11 innings since that start. A chance to rebound comes Wednesday against the Phillies.
  • SF Third Baseman #10
Casey Schmitt socked his fourth dinger of the season on Friday night, helping to lead the Giants to victory over the Reds in Cincinnati.
Schmitt opened the scoring in the ballgame with his 420-foot (108.9-mph EV) solo shot off of Andrew Abbott in the second inning. That would be all of the run support that Blake Snell would require in his brilliant outing. Schmitt finished the night 1-for-4 and is now hitting .231/.255/.519 with four homers and eight RBI in his limited action with the Giants this season.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #41
Andrew Abbott pitched decently in a losing effort against the Giants on Friday night, racking up eight strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings of two-run baseball.
Abbott scattered seven hits and a walk on the evening. All of the damage done against him came in the second inning as Casey Schmitt walloped a solo homer and Tyler Fitzgerald tacked on an RBI double. Abbott got 13 swings and misses on 90 pitches on the evening, posting a CSW of 36 percent. He’ll attempt to get back in the win column as he brings a 3.41 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and a 97/46 K/BB ratio (121 1/3 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Marlins in Miami.
  • SEA Center Fielder #10
Victor Robles homered and stole a base in a win for the Mariners over the Phillies on Friday.
Robles gave hit a leadoff homer for the Mariners in the first inning for his third dinger of the season. He also singled while stealing his 14th base of the 2024 campaign. Robles has been an incredible find for Seattle, and it’s time to take his .308/.387/.452 slash seriously, if you haven’t already.
  • SEA Center Fielder #20
Luke Raley hit a three-run homer in a blowout win over the Phillies on Friday for the Mariners.
Raley turned a 1-0 game into a 4-0 cushion with a three-run shot off a completely ineffective Tyler Phillips in the second inning. The outfielder has been inconsistent in his first year with Seattle to say the least, as he’s gone deep 12 times with 32 RBI and a .698 OPS thus far.
