Phillies agreed to terms with LHP Kolby Allard on a one-year contract.
It’s rather surprising seeing Allard get a major league deal, but since he does somehow still have an option year left, the Phillies can stash him away as Triple-A depth. Because of a shoulder injury, Allard was limited to just 19 innings last season. He made three starts and one relief appearance for Atlanta, amassing a 6.57 ERA in 12 1/3 innings. The 2015 first-round pick has a lifetime 6.10 ERA in 38 starts and 31 relief appearances as a major leaguer.
