Giants signed OF Jung Hoo Lee to a six-year, $113 million contract.
The deal, which was agreed to earlier this week, is now official. It also includes an opt-out following the 2027 season. Lee will be introduced on Friday in a press conference at Oracle Park. The 25-year-old former MVP of the Korea Baseball Organization possesses some over-the-fence pop, but isn’t a prototypical power hitter, which might make him a better fit as a top-of-the-order table-setter for San Francisco’s lineup. He should make an immediate impact for fantasy managers in 2024 as a batting average source in addition to supplying double-digit homers and steals.
