Logan O’Hoppe is not in the Angels starting lineup for Sunday’s contest against the Mets.
After playing in the last two contests, O’Hoppe will take Sunday afternoon off to rest his legs. Since returning from the injured list, the 23-year-old is hitting .125/.192/.250 with one homer over 26 plate appearances. Chad Wallach will catch Griffin Canning and bat eighth in his absence.

Twins sent C Diego Cartaya outright to Triple-A El Paso.
Cartaya has been awful in 2025; going 2-for-25 with a whopping 18 strikeouts. The former top prospect is now off the 40-man roster and looks to be nothing more than organizational depth.
Time to bet on Rays' Simpson as stolen base leader
Brad Thomas and Vaughn Dalzell highlight Chandler Simpson's arrival in the stolen base leader market and why now is the time to bet the Rays' outfielder who possesses "another gear" around the bases.

Padres recalled RHP Ryan Bergert from Triple-A El Paso.
Bergert, 25, will give the Padres a fresh arm for the weekend series against the Rays. To make room on the roster, San Diego optioned Kyle Hart to the minors. When/if Bergert enters a game, he’ll be making his MLB debut.
  • PHI Starting Pitcher #55
Ranger Suarez (back) will make his next rehab start Sunday for Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Suarez, 29, threw 59 pitches in his five-inning outing for Lehigh Valley on Tuesday. The goal for the southpaw now is for him to reach 80 pitches, and if things go well, it’s possible he could make his next start with the Phillies. Phillies manager Rob Thomson suggested that the team would prefer Suarez is stretched out to 90-plus pitches, but that could change if he looks healthy during Sunday’s tilt.
  • MIA Starting Pitcher #39
Craig Mish of Sportsgrid reports that Eury Pérez (elbow) will pitch an inning for High-A Jupiter on Saturday.
It’ll be the first competitive action for Pérez since he underwent Tommy John surgery last April. The 22 year-old is one of the top young pitching talents in the sport, and while he obviously offers risk, there’s big-time upside in his arm that could help fantasy managers in the second half of 2025 — assuming he’s able to return, of course.
  • NYM Catcher #4
Mets activated C Francisco Alvarez off the 10-day injured list.
The Mets reinstated both Alvarez and Jeff McNeil off the 10-day injured list. Alvarez missed just-under a month with his hamate bone fracture, and now will return to handling everyday backstop duties for the Mets. Don’t be surprised if there’s some ups and downs with the 23-year-old, but he’s worthy of roster consideration in a large amount of formats because of his position and power.
  • CHC Left Fielder #27
Seiya Suzuki (wrist) is hitting third and serving as the designated hitter Friday against the Phillies.
Suzuki was scratched from the lineup Wednesday with right wrist soreness, but it appears to be purely precautionary. The 30-year-old will hit in the middle of the lineup for Friday’s series opener against Philadelphia.
  • MIN Starting Pitcher #49
Twins activated RHP Pablo López off the 15-day injured list.
López, 29, is back to make a start Friday against the Angels. He ended up missing three-plus weeks with his hamstring strain, and because he hasn’t been stretched out beyond 90 pitches, there’s a chance he isn’t available for a “normal” outing for Friday. Just something to be cognizant of before placing López in your fantasy lineup.
  • SF Starting Pitcher #45
Kyle Harrison allowed two unearned runs over six innings and struck out eight in his start for Triple-A Sacramento on Thursday.
Harrison, who struggled in the majors while averaging 92.6 mph with his fastball last season, is back up to 93.7 mph in Triple-A this season and was at 94.4 mph last night while getting 18 missed swings in the 81-pitch outing. He has a 3.86 ERA and a 31/8 K/BB in 21 innings for Sacramento.
  • LAD Catcher #94
Dalton Rushing had four hits, including his third homer, for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday.
After missing a few days due to injury, Rushing has hit .360 with two homers and four walks in his last seven games, putting him at .312/.405/.508 overall. The Dodgers haven’t given him any starts in left field this year, but that still might be in the cards at some point. He’s caught 11 times and started twice at first base for Oklahoma City.
  • ATL 2nd Baseman #22
David Fletcher played shortstop and went 0-for-3 in his first game for Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.
Fletcher, 30, tried to turn his career around by becoming a knuckleballer last year, but it didn’t take and he’s back as a position player this year. The Braves declined to invite him to major league spring training in the final year of his five-year, $26 million contract, and he opened up by going 2-for-22 at Double-A Columbus. A valuable infielder for the Angels from 2018-20, his career took a downturn in 2021, and he’s played in just 38 major league games since the beginning of 2023. He’s unlikely to add to that total anytime soon.
