Blue Jays signed RHP Gabe Klobosits to a minor league contract.
Klobosits, who debuted in the majors with the Nationals in 2021, was recently pitching in the independent Atlantic League, allowing one run in eight innings for Gastonia. He’ll head to Triple-A Buffalo.

Noah Schultz allowed three runs over 1 2/3 innings in a start against the Rockies on Saturday.
Schultz was pulled in the first after walking three batters and getting just one out, but since it’s the Cactus League, he was able to return. He walked five in the contest, but he also struck out three. Schultz has massive upside, and could be a fantasy option by the end of 2025.
  • NYM Catcher
Hayden Senger hit his first spring homer Saturday as the Mets and Nationals played to a 5-5 tie.
The Mets told Jakson Reetz he’s not making the team, so Senger is currently in line to serve as Luis Torrens’ backup while Franciscoo Alvarez is out. The caveat there is that the Mets still could bring in an alternative from outside of the organization (Tomás Nido anyone?). Senger, 27, he never played in the majors. He hit .234/.302/363 in a 2024 season spent mostly in Triple-A.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #38
Tylor Megill pitched 5 1/3 innings and allowed three runs Saturday against the Nationals.
Megill struck out five today and had a fine 32% CSW in the 88-pitch outing. He’s all set to occupy a spot in the Mets rotation, and while he’s a definite mixed-league sleeper, he’s not a stellar first-week play ahead of a likely start in Houston.
  • WSH Starting Pitcher #1
MacKenzie Gore yielded three runs in three innings Saturday versus the Mets.
Gore will be pitching on four days’ rest in Thursday’s opener, so the team didn’t want him going too long today. As it was, he ended up throwing 74 pitches to get his nine outs anyway. Gore ends the spring with a 2.76 ERA and an 18/7 K/BB in 16 1/3 innings.
  • WSH Shortstop #13
Amed Rosario extended his run of spring futility by going 0-for-5 against the Mets on Saturday.
.171/.167/.195 is Rosario’s line in 42 plate appearances this spring. He hasn’t been able to insert himself into the mix at third base for the Nationals, though the team doesn’t seem to like him there anyway; he’s thus far started five times at second, four times at short, twice in left and just once at third.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #41
Andrew Abbott (shoulder) blanked the Padres over four innings in his Cactus League start against the Padres.
Abbott gave up just one hit while not issuing a walk and striking out three. The 25-year-old southpaw is going to open the season on the injured list because of his shoulder issues, but he sure looked ready to contribute Saturday. He should be back in Cincinnati rotation by the end of April.
  • MIA Starting Pitcher #27
Edward Cabrera (blister) will throw a simulated game Wednesday.
That will come after Cabrera completes a bullpen session Monday. The right-hander is going to open the year on the injured list because of his blister issue, but it does appear that this could be a minimum stint for the 26-year-old. That’d put him back in the middle of the April.
  • TB Shortstop #6
Taylor Walls hit a three-run homer in the Rays’ 14-2 rout of the Red Sox on Saturday.
The homer to left-center appeared to be a little wind-aided, but he’ll take it. He also had an RBI groundout today. The light-hitting Walls figures to spend the first two months as the Rays’ starting shortstop with Ha-Seong Kim on the injured list. José Caballero will back him up.
  • BOS Starting Pitcher #89
Tanner Houck was lit up for 10 runs in 3 2/3 innings by the Rays on Saturday.
Houck didn’t look quite as bad as the line suggests; nine of the 12 hits he allowed were singles and many were on the ground. Still, his bat-missing ability has been absent this spring. He ended up allowing 19 runs and 29 hits over 13 2/3 innings in his four starts. Houck isn’t a great bet in shallow mixed leagues, and that’s especially the case with a road start in Texas due up first next week.
  • TB Second Baseman #62
Jonathan Aranda finished 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI against the Red Sox on Saturday.
Aranda also homered Friday, so he’s peaking at the right time. The Rays will use him as a DH and first baseman against right-handers. His fantasy upside is limited as a platoon guy, but he should prove to be more than adequate offensively.
