Diamondbacks signed first-round pick SS Tommy Troy.
Troy receives a $4.4 million signing bonus, which is roughly $600,000 below slow value for the 12th overall pick. The 21-year-old shortstop put together an impressive final collegiate season for Stanford, crushing 27 homers and swiping 17 bases across 58 games. He’s likely to wind up somewhere else besides shortstop, but offers a relatively high-floor for fantasy purposes.

The 33-year-old is up to 11 on the season with 49 RBI while hitting .254/.317/.417 across 249 plate appearances.

Michael Harris II went 1-for-4 with a solo homer against the Giants on Saturday.
Harris put the first run on the board for the Braves with a solo homer off Logan Webb to lead off the fifth inning. It was one of two runs Atlanta would score on Webb and the only hit of the day for the 24-year-old outfielder. Harris is up to four homers and ten steals while slashing .237/.266/.344 across 258 plate appearances.
  • ATL Relief Pitcher #38
Pierce Johnson surrendered a two-run homer to blow the save against the Giants on Saturday.
With Raisel Iglesias getting time off from the closer role, Johnson got the save opportunity with a one-run lead against the Giants. He gave up a base hit to Heliot Ramos before Matt Chapman took him deep for a two-run blast to walk it off. Expect the Braves to continue their search for answers in the late innings.
  • SF Starting Pitcher #62
Logan Webb allowed two runs with ten strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision against the Braves on Saturday.
Webb cruised through four shutout innings before giving up a solo homer to Michael Harris II to start the fifth inning. He then loaded the bases with no outs in the sixth and limited the Braves to just one run on a groundout before escaping the jam. Webb struck out ten batters for his fourth double-digit strikeout effort of the season. The 28-year-old right-hander will take a 2.58 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and a 101/17 K/BB ratio across 87 1/3 innings into a start against the Rockies in Colorado on Thursday.
  • ATL Starting Pitcher #55
Bryce Elder held the Giants to one run with 12 strikeouts over eight innings in a no-decision on Saturday.
Elder held the Giants scoreless before Wilmer Flores took him deep for a solo homer to lead off the fourth. That would be one of only three hits Elder would allow on the day as he went eight innings of one-run ball while collecting a career-high 12 strikeouts. It was just the second double-digit strikeout performance of his career and first since 2022. The 26-year-old right-hander will take a 4.08 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and a 49/16 K/BB ratio across 57 1/3 innings into a start against the Rockies in Atlanta on Friday.
  • PIT Starting Pitcher #45
Andrew Heaney left Saturday’s start against the Phillies with left camp cramping.
Heaney went six innings and allowed one run before exiting with a trainer. Assuming no setbacks, there’s a good chance he’ll be able to make his next start against the Cubs next week; scheduled for Thursday.
  • PIT Catcher #32
Henry Davis went 2-for-3 with a solo homer in the Pirates’ 2-1 win over the Phillies on Saturday.
After knocking a base hit in the second inning, Davis broke a 1-1 tie with a solo homer off Ranger Suárez in the seventh for what would be the game-winning run. It was his second straight day with a homer. The 25-year-old backstop is hitting .216/.284/.405 with four homers and 10 RBI across 84 plate appearances.
  • PHI Left Fielder #12
Kyle Schwarber went 1-for-4 with a solo homer against the Pirates on Saturday.
Schwarber had gone eight games without a homer before taking Andrew Heaney deep for a solo blast in the first inning. It would be the only run of the game for the Phillies in their 2-1 loss. The 32-year-old slugger is up to 20 homers while slashing .255/.379/.557 with 45 runs scored and 46 RBI across 282 plate appearances.

  • PHI Starting Pitcher #55
Ranger Suárez allowed two runs with five strikeouts over seven innings in a loss against the Pirates on Saturday.
Suárez gave up a run in the first inning on a triple and a base hit. He got through five more scoreless frames before Henry Davis took him deep for a solo homer to lead off the bottom of the seventh. Suárez would complete the seventh with five strikeouts and in line for a tough-luck loss with just one run of support. The 29-year-old left-hander will carry an outstanding 2.70 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and a 38/11 K/BB ratio across 43 1/3 innings into a start against the Blue Jays in Philadelphia on Friday.
