MLB suspended RHP Jimmy Cordero for the rest of the season for violating the league’s Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy.
There hasn’t been any word on exactly what led to the suspension, but one assumes this has been in the works for weeks or maybe months. MLB’s announcement said Cordero accepted the suspension, which will also cover the postseason. It’s implied that he’ll be eligible to return at the beginning of 2024.

Fernando Tatis Jr. went 2-for-4 with a homer in a 5-4 win over the Athletics on Monday.
Tatis Jr. extended the San Diego lead to 5-3 with a solo shot off Luis Severino in the seventh. He’s off to a solid start at the plate with two homers, seven RBI and an OPS of .997 over the first 11 games of 2025. Tatis Jr. obviously has enormous upside, and it’s just a matter of him staying on the field to reach his ceiling.

Luis Severino allowed five runs over seven innings to pick up a loss Monday to the Padres.
Severino pitched well after the first inning, which is good. He gave up three runs in that inning, however, which kinda defeats everything else. Severino has given up five earned in back-to-back starts after his impressive outing in the opener, and his ERA has inflated to 4.84 in the process. He’ll try to rebound against his old team in the Mets on Sunday.
  • BAL First Baseman #6
Ryan Mountcastle drove in two runs in a win Monday over the Diamondbacks.
Mountcastle also drew a walk. He’s now driven in three runs over the first 11 games of 2025, and he improved his slash to a strong .324/.359/.432 over 37 at-bats.
  • BAL Shortstop #2
Gunnar Henderson swiped two bases and scored two runs in a 5-1 win for the Orioles over the Diamondbacks on Monday
Henderson also drew a walk. The steals are the first of the season for the 23-year-old, and a nice sign that he’s starting to feel more comfortable since returning from the injured list from his side injury. Henderson is one of the best fantasy options at the shortstop position, and it shouldn’t shock anyone if this is the start of a hot run for the 23-year-old.
  • BAL First Baseman #32
Ryan O’Hearn went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in a win for the Orioles on Monday over the Diamondbacks.
The other hit was a double. O’Hearn took Zac Gallen deep in the first to give Baltimore a 1-0 lead, and it gave O’Hearn his first homer of the 2025 campaign. The 31-year-old had struggled over his last two games while going 0-for-7, but his .308/.379/.538 slash is one almost any hitter would sign up for.
  • BAL Starting Pitcher #24
Zach Eflin struck out just one hitter, but allowed a run over six innings to get a win over the Dimonadbacks on Monday.
Eflin was far from dominant despite the six innings of one-run baseball, as he picked up just a single strikeout and four swings-and-misses over 73 pitches. The right-hander kept the hard contact to a low roar, however, and he was able to escape his limited jams. Eflin lowered his ERA to 3.00 in the process, and he’ll attempt to lower it again Sunday against the Blue Jays.
  • ARI Starting Pitcher #23
Zac Gallen was charged for five runs over 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Orioles on Monday.
Gallen wasn’t able to replicate his success against the Yankees on Wednesday where he struck out 13, as he fanned just two batters against the Baltimore lineup. The 29-year-old also walked four, and he’s disappointed in two of his first three outings. It’s far too early to be worried, but not too early to complain if you drafted Gallen with a (relatively) high selection. He’ll try and bounce back against the Brew Crew over the weekend.
  • SD Third Baseman #13
Manny Machado doubled twice and drove in two runs in the Padres’ win over the Athletics.
Machado doubled in the first to score Luis Arraez in the first, and he accomplished the same feat again two innings later. Machado has looked solid to begin the 2025 campaign, and he has an .830 OPS to show for his trouble.
  • ATH First Baseman #21
Tyler Soderstrom homered twice Monday in ia loss to the Padres.
Soderstrom has his second multi-homer game of the season, and is already up to six. The 23-year-old flashed offensive excellence at the end of 2024, and has been as good as anyone at the start of 2025. That’s obviously not going to continue, but that doesn’t make Soderstrom unworthy of rostering. On the contrary.

Robert Suarez worked a scoreless ninth inning to pick up a save against the Athletics on Monday.
Suarez already has five saves on the year, which is a good number for a month, much less the first 11 games of the season. He needed just nine pitches to get through the outing, and he has yet to allow a run in the 2025 campaign.
