Giants purchased the contract of OF Jason Krizan from Triple-A Sacramento.
Now this is what you love to see. Krizan will be making his major league debut on Friday evening after playing in more than 1,100 games during his minor-league career. The 32-year-old had a terrific year at Triple-A Sacramento last season, slashing .316/.367/.492 with 16 homers and 73 RBI in 110 games.

DJ LeMahieu told reporters his calf injury is “not anything major but it’s probably going to be a little bit” before he’s able to return.
LeMahieu tweaked his calf during Saturday’s game against the Astros with manager Aaron Boone deeming the injury as “at least a little concerning.” I’ll say. Injuries limited the 36-year-old infielder to just 67 games in 2024, when he hit .204 with two home runs and 26 RBI. While LeMahieu is competing for the third base job this spring, another injury gives Oswaldo Cabrera a head start on manning the position.

Pete Crow-Armstrong homered and drove in four runs against the Royals on Saturday.
The man they call PCA blistered a two-run homer off Cole Ragans in the first inning. He drove in another run off Ragans with a sac fly, and he doubled in his fourth and final run in the sixth. Crow-Armstrong has been outstanding in the first week-plus of Cactus League action with a .500 average and .929 slugging percentage, and while that’s not even kind of sustainable, it’s a reminder of how much talent the 22-year-old possesses.
  • CHC First Baseman #29
Michael Busch went 3-for-4 with a double and a triple against the Royals on Saturday.
Busch was only missing the homer for an exhibition game cycle. The 27-year-old has been excellent thus far in Arizona as seen in a .500/.526/.889 slash. There’s a lot to like about Busch’s bat even if he doesn’t get a chance to play against left-handed pitching.
  • CHC Starting Pitcher #32
Ben Brown allowed a run over 2 1/3 innings in his Cactus League start against the Royals on Saturday.
Brown was fortunate to give up just the one run as he gave up four hits and a walk, but he was able to wiggle out of a jam thanks to two strikeouts. The 25-year-old is attempting to win a spot on the Chicago staff to open the season, but more than likely will begin the 2025 campaign with Triple-A Iowa.
  • KC Starting Pitcher #55
Cole Ragans gave up seven runs in 2 1/3 innings against the Cubs on Saturday.
Ragans gave up a pair of two-run homers in the first inning, and three more were charged to the southpaw in the third. Thankfully this doesn’t count, and it’s worth noting that Ragans looked good in his spring debut Monday against the Athletics. There’s no reason to panic based on one bad spring start with Ragans.
  • WSH Right Fielder #3
Dylan Crews drove in two runs with two hits in a Grapefruit League win over the Marlins on Saturday.
Crews slashed a single the opposite way for his first RBI, and picked up another hit up the middle for another an inning later. The 23-year-old rookie is hitting .462/.533/.615 this spring, and appears likely to hit near the top of the Washington lineup in 2025. There’s considerable fantasy upside in Crews’ bat.
Where should rising stars like Paul Skenes, Jackson Chourio, and James Wood be drafted in dynasty formats?
  • WSH Catcher #15
Riley Adams hit a grand slam to help the Nationals to a 7-0 win over the Marlins on Saturday.
Adams has his first homer of the spring with the grand salami. The 28-year-old will be the backup backstop to Keibert Ruiz for the 2025 campaign.
  • WSH Second Baseman #2
Luis Garcia Jr. was scratched from Saturday’s lineup against the Marlins due to illness.
Garcia Jr. has a sore throat and a fever, so the Nationals did the responsible thing and sent him home. The 24-year-old should be back in the lineup next week.
  • WSH Starting Pitcher #1
MacKenzie Gore struck out four over three scoreless innings against the Marlins on Saturday.
This was Gore’s first appearance of the spring, and it was a good one. The 26-year-old southpaw allowed two hits and a walk, but was able to get the punchouts to keep Miami off the board. Gore has shown the ability to miss bats, but just hasn’t shown enough consistency to be trusted as a fantasy arm. It shouldn’t shock anyone if Gore had a breakout campaign in 2025, but obviously there are no guarantees.
  • MIA Starting Pitcher #35
Ryan Weathers hurled two scoreless innings in a Grapefruit League start against the Nationals.
Weathers struck out four in the outing. The 25-year-old southpaw is expected to be a part of the Miami rotation, and he’s hoping that 20-pounds of weight loss will help him remain healthy in the 2025 campaign. Fantasy managers should take a wait-and-see approach before investing.
