Dodgers reassigned RHP’s Sam Gaviglio, Bobby Wahl, Robbie Erlin, Sam Duplantier and Yefry Ramirez, INF’s Kody House, Miguel Vargas and Michael Busch, OF’s Andy Pages and Ryan Noda and C’s Carson Taylor and Hunter Feduccia to minor league camp.
There are several prominent names in this first round of cuts from Dodgers’ camp, including Gaviglio, Wahl, Erlin, Duplantier and Ramirez all being jettisoned. There’s plenty of big-league experience among that group and it wouldn’t be surprising to see several of them in the majors this season. Among the position players, Vargas has made an impression this spring, launching some tape-measure homers in Cactus League action.

Austin Gomber (shoulder) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment on Tuesday for Double-A Hartford.
Gomber has been on the injured list since early March with a shoulder injury. He suffered a setback when he first tried to begin his rehab process in early April, and now will try and begin the process again. It will likely be early July before he becomes an option for the Rockies.
Abel, Young among top Week 11 waiver-wire targets
Eric Samulski examines the top fantasy baseball waiver-wire targets for Week 11, highlighting Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Mick Abel and Seattle Mariners infielder Cole Young.
  • CIN 3rd Baseman #3
Jeimer Candelario (lumbar spine strain) began a rehab assignment with the Rookie-level ACL Reds on Monday.
Candelario has been on the injured list since April 30th with a spinal strain, so his rehab process will likely be a long one. In his first game, he went 1-for-2 with a double and a walk and made an error while playing third base. The veteran was hitting .113/.198/.213 in 22 games this season, so he will need to show improved performance on the rehab assignment before the Reds bring him back and push Santiago Espinal back to the bench.
  • ATH Shortstop #5
Athletics manager Mark Kotsay said that Jacob Wilson “jarred his neck” on a dive into first base in the sixth inning on Monday night.
He was removed from the game in the ninth inning, but the game was also out of hand at that point, so it’s unclear if the injury will cause Wilson to miss any time. We should know more before Tuesday’s game.
  • BOS Starting Pitcher #50
Kutter Crawford (knee) will begin a rehab assignment this week.
Crawford has been out all season while battling a knee injury that first popped up last season. The Red Sox are unlikely to rush him back, given the length of his injury, but Crawford could potentially be ready for big league innings by early July. As of now, the Red Sox claim that Crawford will remain a starting pitcher, but he has experience out of the bullpen as well, so if Richard Fitts or Brayan Bello pitch well enough to remain in the rotation, Crawford could help the team as a reliever.
  • BOS 3rd Baseman #2
Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Alex Bregman (quad) is responding well to treatment and “feeling better.”
We still don’t have a set timeline for Bregman’s return from a strained quad. The assumption is that he might miss six to eight weeks because he missed 58 games in 2021 with a similar injury, but it’s possible that he bounces back quicker this time, or the injury isn’t as severe. We’ll keep an eye on his recovery, but the fact that he is responding to treatment is a step in the right direction.
  • NYM Shortstop #10
Mike Rodriguez reports that the Mets are calling up INF Ronny Mauricio.
Mark Vientos suffered a hamstring injury on Monday night that Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said “didn’t look good.” With reports that Mauricio is coming up, it would seem likely that Vientos could end up on the injured list. Mauricio is hitting .515/.564/.818 in nine games at Triple-A with three home runs, eight RBI, and a 5/5 K/BB ratio. He missed all of last season with a torn ACL and has not yet played back-to-back games in the minors, so it’s unlikely to has an everyday role right away. He had 23 home runs and 24 steals in 116 games at Triple-A in 2023 with a .292/.346/.506 slash line and has played both second base and third base at Triple-A. With Jared Young being the primary DH against righties and Brett Baty playing third base, it seems likely that Mauricio starts off in a short-side platoon.
  • STL Starting Pitcher #30
Tink Hence (ribs) threw one shutout inning for Single-A Palm Beach on Monday.
Hence walked one, allowed one hit, and recorded a strikeout on a 94 mph fastball. He will continue to build up his pitch count before returning to the rotation for Triple-A Memphis.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #58
Paul Blackburn is set to move to the bullpen after his spot start on Monday.
Blackburn was great in five innings against the Dodgers on Monday night, but it appears that didn’t buy him a longer stay in the rotation. The Mets had needed an extra starter with them playing 10 consecutive days, but they will not keep a six-man rotation long-term. Blackburn will be the long reliever and the sixth starter, just in case a spot in the rotation opens up.
  • LAD Designated Hitter #17
Shohei Ohtani homered and drove in two runs in an extra-inning loss Monday to the Mets.
Ohtani tied Cal Raleigh (aka Big Dumper) with his 23rd homer of the season in the seventh inning. Ohtani drove in the other run in the bottom of the ninth with a sac fly that tied the game at 2-2 and sent the contest to extras. Ohtani has been incredible in 2025 with a .292 average and 1.047 OPS to go with those roundtrippers.
  • NYM Shortstop #12
Francisco Lindor homered and drove in two runs while adding a stolen base in a 4-3 extra-inning win over the Dodgers on Monday.
Lindor bookended the scoring the Mets in the extra-inning win. He hit a leadoff homer to give the club a 1-0 lead off Dustin May, and then he extended New York’s lead to 4-2 with an RBI single in the 10th. Lindor also added his 11th steal on the season, and that pairs well with 14 homers and 36 RBI for the star shortstop.
