Josh Reddick has signed with the Acereros de Monclova of the Mexican League for the 2022 season.
Reddick will join former big-leaguer Pablo Sandoval in Mexico after spending the last 13 seasons at the major-league level since 2009. He’s posted a respectable .262/.321/.426 batting line with 146 homers and 61 steals across 4,879 plate appearances during that span. The 35-year-old outfielder appeared in 54 games with the Diamondbacks last season, hitting .258/.285/.371 with two round-trippers in 158 plate appearances. He inked a minor-league pact with the Mets in August, but failed to make it back to the big leagues.

Pirates placed C Joey Bart on the seven-day concussion injured list.
Garcia seems to be most trusted in Rangers bullpen
Robert Garcia picked up his third save of the season, and Eric Samulski discusses why the left-handed pitcher seems to be the "most trusted" reliever in the Texas Rangers bullpen.
  • PHI Starting Pitcher #45
Wednesday’s game between the Braves and Phillies was postponed.
The game will be made up Thursday as part of a split doubleheader. Zack Wheeler and AJ Smith-Shawver was the scheduled pitching matchup for Wednesday’s tilt, and both will likely start one of the two games Thursday; though not necessarily against each other.
  • BAL Starting Pitcher #38
Kyle Bradish told reporters Wednesday that he’s about halfway through his bullpen progression.
Bradish told reporters that his goal is to start live bullpen sessions in July, and then begin a rehab assignment. That could see the 28-year-old join the Baltimore rotation in August, but that’s far from a guarantee. It’d be nice to see Bradish on the bump for a couple of months to help determine his potential fantasy value for 2026.
  • CLE Center Fielder #38
Steven Kwan left Wednesday’s game against the Dodgers due to right wrist inflammation.
Kwan was pulled in the fourth inning due to the inflammation. The outfielder will assuredly undergo testing — if he hasn’t already — to determine the severity of the injury. Nolan Jones is playing in left with Kwan out, and likely will get the starts there until Kwan is ready to go.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #47
Frankie Montas (lat) will make a rehab start Thursday for High-A Brooklyn.
It’ll be the second rehab start for Montas, and both will come at the High-A level. The 32-year-old was signed by the Mets to a $34 million contract, but he has yet to make his debut with New York after suffering a lat strain in spring training. He’ll likely need a couple more outings before having a chance to come off the 60-day injured list in June.
  • CLE Center Fielder #38
Steven Kwan left Wednesday’s game against the Dodgers in the fourth inning.
No reason has been given for why Kwan has left, but it does appear to be injury related. Nolan Jones has taken over in the left field for Kwan.
  • ARI 2nd Baseman #4
Ketel Marte (illness) is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday’s game against the Pirates.
Marte has now missed two games while recovering from his illness. The 31-year-old should be considered day-to-day, but Jordan Lawlar will get the start at second base while Marte recovers.
  • CWS Right Fielder #47
White Sox scratched OF Joshua Palacios from Wednesday’s lineup against the Orioles.
No reason has been given for why Palacios has been removed from the lineup, but that info should be available shortly. In the meantime, Mike Tauchman was moved to the outfield, and Edgar Quero is now the designated hitter.
  • BAL Relief Pitcher #76
Orioles optioned RHP Yaramil Hiraldo to Triple-A Norfolk.
Hiraldo pitched well in his MLB debut with 1 1/3 scoreless innings, but the Orioles will option him to Norfolk to pick up a fresh arm in the bullpen. In this case, it’s Matt Bowman.
  • BAL Relief Pitcher #51
Orioles selected the contract of RHP Matt Bowman from Triple-A Norfolk.
Bowman gets the add to the active roster to give Baltimore a fresh bullpen arm. He’ll take the place of Yaramil Hiraldo, who was optioned to Triple-A to make room.
