Mets optioned RHP Yennsy Diaz to Triple-A Syracuse.
Diaz was charged with four earned runs over just 1 1/3 innings of relief on Monday night against the Cardinals as his season ERA jumped from 4.18 to 5.40. Jake Reed (forearm) has come off the IL to fill the bullpen vacancy for New York.

Rece Hinds connected on a two-run homer in the ninth inning in an extra-inning loss to Atlanta on Thursday.
    Woodruff nearing return for Brewers
Eric Samulski explains why fantasy managers should stash Brandon Woodruff as the Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher is getting closer to his return after a strong rehab start.
  • ATL Center Fielder #23
Michael Harris II drove in two runs while going 3-for-5 with a triple in an extra-inning win Thursday over the Reds.
  • ATL Catcher #30
Drake Baldwin drove in the game-winner in the 11th with an RBI single to give Atlanta a 5-4 win over the Reds on Thursday.

Graham Ashcraft allowed two runs and blew a save against Atlanta on Thursday.
  • ATL Starting Pitcher #56
Spencer Schwellenbach allowed just one run over six innings against the Reds on Thursday, but he didn’t factor into the decision.
The only run allowed came in the fifth inning when he gave up a double to Jose Trevino. Outside of that, he was rarely in trouble, as he struck out six with two walks while scattering five hits allowed. It was against a decidedly weaker lineup, but it’s encouraging to see Schwellenbach rebound from allowing six runs over 3 2/3 against the Dodgers in his last outing. Schwellenbach should be in fantasy lineups Tuesday for his scheduled start against the Nationals.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #40
Nick Lodolo gave up two runs over six innings with seven strikeouts but didn’t factor into the decision Thursday against Atlanta.
Lodolo allowed five hits and didn’t issue a walk. He gave up sac fly in the first and a run-scoring triple to Michael Harris II, but outside of that it was smooth sailing for the southpaw. It’s a nice bounceback from Saturday’s struggles against the Nats (5 1/3 innings, 10 hits, six earned runs), and more in line with how he’s pitched for the majority of the 2025 campaign. Lodolo has a great chance of lowering his already-solid 3.23 ERA against the White Sox next week.
  • TB 3rd Baseman #13
Junior Caminero homered and drove in a pair of runs on Thursday evening, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Rays past the Phillies.
The 21-year-old slugger smacked a 347-foot (98.0 mph EV) solo shot off of Jesús Luzardo in the opening inning. He then gave the Rays their first lead of the day with a sacrifice fly in the third inning. Caminero finished the day 1-for-3 plus a walk and is now hitting .244/.276/.444 with seven homers and 16 RBI on the season.
  • TB 1st Baseman #2
Yandy Díaz blasted a three-run homer in the seventh inning on Thursday night as the Rays dropped a heartbreaker to the Phillies.
Díaz provided the Rays with some valuable insurance as his 362-foot (103.0 mph EV) three-run shot off of Tanner Banks transformed a 2-1 lead into a 5-1 advantage. That would be his only hit in five at-bats in the contest. For the season, the 33-year-old first baseman is hitting .255/.307/.430 with six long balls and 20 RBI.
  • TB Relief Pitcher #29
Pete Fairbanks suffered his first blown save of the 2025 season on Thursday night, giving up an unearned run on one hit and a walk in his inning of work.
The Rays carried a 5-1 lead into the eighth inning on Thursday, but that advantage was cut to one when Bryson Stott blasted a three-run homer with two outs in the eighth inning. Fairbanks then came on for the ninth and allowed a leadoff single to Kyle Schwarber. He then tried to pick off pinch-runner Johan Rojas, but threw the ball down the right field line, allowing Rojas to get to third. He eventually scored on a ground ball off the bat of Max Kepler. Fairbanks has been terrific overall on the season, registering a 1.76 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and a 14/7 K/BB ratio over 15 1/3 innings. His job isn’t in any danger at all.
  • TB Starting Pitcher #44
Ryan Pepiot pitched well in a tough-luck no-decision against Phillies on Thursday, scattering three hits over six innings of one-run baseball.
Pepiot struck out three batters on the evening while issuing a pair of walks. The only run that the Phillies were able to muster against him came on a sacrifice fly by Bryce Harper in the opening inning after Bryson Stott had doubled and advanced to third on a fly ball. He exited with the Rays leading and in line for a victory but the bullpen was unable to hang on for him. Pepiot generated seven swings and misses on 95 pitches on the night, posting an underwhelming CSW of 22 percent. He’ll attempt to replicate this fine performance as he carries a 3.86 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and a 38/16 K/BB ratio (44 1/3 innings) into Wednesday’s tilt against the Blue Jays in Toronto.
