  • MLB Outfield #22

    Mets released OF Josh Reddick.
New York signed the veteran outfielder to a minor-league deal on August 11 but has been batting a mere .182/.289/.303 over 11 games for Triple-A Syracuse. Reddick will look for another opportunity on the open market.

  • SD 2nd Baseman #9

Jake Cronenworth is not in the Padres’ starting lineup for Friday evening’s tilt against the Braves.
The versatile 31-year-old will take a seat with tough left-hander Chris Sale toeing the slab for the Braves on Friday night. Jose Iglesias will start in his place at second base and will bat seventh for the Padres on Friday evening in Atlanta.
Top prospect Clarke to be called up by Athletics
Following the Atheltics' announcement that they are calling up prized outfield Denzel Clarke, James Schiano discusses what the toolsy prospect with "blazing speed" will bring to the pro level.
  • DET Center Fielder #31
Riley Greene is not in the Tigers’ starting lineup for Friday night’s showdown against the Guardians at Comerica Park.
There haven’t been any rumblings of any sort of injury, so it appears to be just a routine night off for the dynamic 24-year-old outfielder. Akil Baddoo will start in his place in left field and will bat eighth for the Tigers against Guardians’ right-hander Slade Cecconi on Friday night.
  • WSH Center Fielder #17
Alex Call is not in the Nationals’ starting lineup for Friday night’s battle against the Giants.
It appears to be nothing more than a routine night off for the 30-year-old outfielder. Daylen Lile, who was promoted from Triple-A Rochester on Friday, will start in his place in right field and bat ninth against Giants’ right-hander Landen Roupp.
  • DET 2nd Baseman #25
Gleyber Torres (leg) is hitting second as the designated hitter against the Guardians on Friday.
Torres was removed from Thursday’s game against the Guardians with lower leg discomfort, but he’s feeling well enough to DH against Cleveland for Friday’s game. Assuming no setbacks, he should be able to get back to second base in the coming days.
  • CWS Left Fielder #23
White Sox activated OF Andrew Benintendi off the 10-day injured list.
Benintendi missed just under three weeks while dealing with his calf strain. The former top prospect will help the White Sox outfield depth, but he won’t help fantasy teams.
  • CWS Right Fielder #18
White Sox activated OF Mike Tauchman off the 10-day injured list.
Tauchman gives the White Sox some outfield depth after missing over a month with his right hamstring strain. The 34-year-old should see a decent amount of time in the Chicago lineup, but that won’t be enough to suggest he’s worthy of a fantasy addition.
  • CWS 1st Baseman #30
White Sox optioned INF Tim Elko to Triple-A Charlotte.
The White Sox need room on the roster for Andrew Benintendi and Mike Tauchman to come off the injured list, so Elko along with Andrew Vaughn are the casualties. Elko could be up again before the end of the summer, but he’s a tough sell from a fantasy perspective. Tough sell seems like the nice way to put it.
  • CWS 1st Baseman #25
White Sox optioned 1B Andrew Vaughn to Triple-A Charlotte.
Vaughn has been atrocious in 2025 with a slash of 189/.218/.314. The White Sox will hope the former third-overall pick will be able to find his form in the minors, but fantasy managers shouldn’t bet on it. There have been flashes of brilliance for the 27-year-old in his short career, but far too often they’ve been followed by long spurts of incompetence.
  • FA Left Fielder #11
    Tigers released OF Ben Gamel.
Gamel has been on the injured list since April 25. The 33-year-old signed on just before the start of the season to a minor-league contract, but now will be looking for a new home.
  • STL Relief Pitcher #58
Cardinals optioned RHP Chris Roycroft to Triple-A Memphis.
Roycroft has been up and down a few times in the 2025 season, and it’s probably not the last time his name will show up on the transaction list. He’s down with Matt Svanson up.
