  • INT Relief Pitcher #51

Giants signed RHP Logan Ondrusek to a minor-league contract.
The Giants plucked Ondrusek out of the Mexican League where he made eight appearances this season. The 36-year-old righty last appeared in the majors with the Orioles. He’ll serve as organizational relief depth.

  • CHC Catcher #9

Cubs manager Craig Counsell told reporters that Miguel Amaya will be placed on the injured list prior to Sunday’s game against the Reds with an oblique strain.
Amaya suffered the strain while attempting to throw out Elly Da La Cruz during Saturday’s game against Cincinnati. While not official, it seems likely that Moises Ballesteros will be recalled from Triple-A Iowa to take Amaya’s place on the roster, and he should split duties with Carson Kelly behind the plate.
Top prospect Clarke to be called up by Athletics
Following the Atheltics' announcement that they are calling up prized outfield Denzel Clarke, James Schiano discusses what the toolsy prospect with "blazing speed" will bring to the pro level.
  • CWS 2nd Baseman #50
Lenyn Sosa went 2-for-4 with a three-run double and a walk Saturday in the White Sox’s 10-5 victory over the Rangers.
One of the reasons the White Sox sent down both Tim Elko and Andrew Vaughn was a stated desire to get Sosa more at-bats. Still, that could have just been accomplished just as easily by reducing the roles of Josh Rojas and Joshua Palacios. It’s good that Sosa is playing, though. He’s 17-for-43 with two homers and five doubles in his last 13 games.
  • CWS Starting Pitcher #46
Filling in for Jonathan Cannon, Bryse Wilson gave up four runs — two earned — in four-plus innings Saturday versus the Rangers.
Wilson, who lost his rotation spot as a result of the Adrian Houser signing, was making his first appearance in nine days. He could fill in again next week if Cannon requires an IL stint. If not, he’ll pitch in middle relief.
  • TEX Starting Pitcher #35
Jack Leiter yielded two runs in five innings and walked five Saturday in a no-decision against the Rangers.
The five walks put him at 94 pitches through five and ensured that he wouldn’t return for the sixth with a 4-2 lead. Things fell apart immediately after he left, as the White Sox scored six runs in the sixth. Still, that was more because of the defense than the bullpen. This really wasn’t one of Leiter’s more impressive outings. Besides the walks, he gave up 10 hard-hit balls, including a homer, and settled for just six whiffs and three strikeouts. He seems like a mediocre play in mixed leagues with the Cardinals next on the docket.
  • CWS Center Fielder #88
Luis Robert Jr. finished 3-for-5 with two doubles, a steal and two runs scored Saturday against the Rangers.
The steal put him in a tie with Bobby Witt Jr. for first in the majors at 19. He’s been a disappointment everywhere else, but for fantasy purposes, the steals have helped a lot in making up for it.
  • TEX Designated Hitter #4
Joc Pederson suffered a fractured right hand in Saturday’s loss to the White Sox.
The fracture occurred when Pederson was plunked in his hand by Bryse Wilson offering in the fourth inning. The 33-year-old will obviously head to the injured list, and likely will be out for more then the minimum stint while the fracture heals. The question will be whether Pederson will need to undergo surgery, as that will be a major factor in just how much time the veteran will miss in 2025.
  • MIA Relief Pitcher #84
Marlins optioned RHP Lake Bachar to Triple-A Jacksonville.
Bachar worked 2 2/3 innings during Friday’s loss to the Angels, so he’ll head back to Jacksonville with Jansen Junk providing a fresh arm for the Fish in their series against the Angels.
  • MIA Relief Pitcher #60
Marlins selected the contract of RHP Jansen Junk from Triple-A Jacksonville.
Junk will head up with Lake Bachar heading down to create some length in the Marlins’ bullpen. It’s unlikely Junk will make starts or see save opportunities with Miami, so fantasy managers have no reason to consider him no matter the league they play in.
  • LAA Starting Pitcher #36
Angels recalled RHP Caden Dana from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Dana is up to give the Angels a fresh arm, but it’s worth noting the 21-year-old has not pitched well in Triple-A with a 5.21 ERA over 38 innings. There’s some long-term potential for Dana, but even if he started games for the Halos, he’s not someone to consider for a fantasy roster in 2025.
  • LAA Relief Pitcher #64
Angels designated RHP Shaun Anderson for assignment.
Anderson gets the boot from the active and 40-man roster with Caden Dana promoted from Triple-A to take his place. The 30-year-old veteran could see interest on the waiver wire, but is just as likely to report back to Triple-A Salt Lake at this stage of his career.
