  • MLB Relief Pitcher #17

Adam Warren indicated Saturday that he is fully healthy and ready to go for the start of Spring Training.
The 33-year-old right-hander missed the entirety of the 2020 season while rehabbing from Tommy John surgery, but he’s now fully recovered and ready to rock. Warren struggled with the Padres during the 2019 season, but was a fixture in the Yankees bullpen for much of the last decade. If he’s healthy and shows any semblance of his former self, he has a good shot at earning a role in the Opening Day bullpen.

Gio Urshela was pulled from Thursday’s battle against the Angels due to a left hamstring injury.
The severity of the injury — as well as how much time he may miss — remain to be seen. The Athletics have plenty of infield options capable of covering third base if Urshela is forced to the injured list, with Miguel Andujar and Max Schuemann the most likely to see increased action.
Williams has 'taken off' for Guardians
Eric Samulski breaks down Gavin Williams' recent stretch of strong starts, explaining why the Cleveland Guardians pitcher needs to be picked up in all fantasy baseball leagues.
  • CLE Shortstop #13
Gabriel Arias is not in the Guardians’ lineup for the opening game of their four-game series against the Tigers in Motown on Thursday.
It appears to be just a routine night off for the 25-year-old infielder. Daniel Schneemann will slide over to start in his place at shortstop while Angel Martinez will cover second base for the Guardians against Jack Flaherty and the Tigers on Thursday evening.
  • PHI Starting Pitcher #55
Ranger Suárez blanked the Rockies for six innings in the Phillies’ 2-0 shutout victory on Thursday.
Suárez allowed just three hard-hit balls in the contest, though he gave up six hits in total. He walked three and struck out six. Since getting tagged for seven runs in his season debut on May 4. Suárez has allowed a total of three runs in 20 innings. His next start will come at home against the Braves.
  • PHI Relief Pitcher #68
Jordan Romano struck out two in a perfect ninth for his sixth save Thursday against the Rockies.
Romano fanned pinch-hitters Nick Martini and Mickey Moniak before Jordan Beck flew out to end the game. It’s Romano’s ninth straight scoreless appearance. He’s fanned 13 and walked one over nine innings during that span.
  • COL Starting Pitcher #48
Germán Márquez took a tough loss at Coors Field after allowing two runs — one earned — in seven innings Thursday against the Phillies.
He struck out a season-high five in the contest. Márquez has pitched well in two out of three starts since opening the season 0-6 with a 9.90 ERA. He’ll try to stay on the right path in Chicago against the Cubs next week.
  • COL Center Fielder #9
Brenton Doyle went 2-for-3 with a triple, a walk and a steal against the Phillies on Thursday.
Doyle’s lack of production got him removed from the leadoff spot for the Rockies last week, but he could be back there soon. He went 5-for-12 with three extra-base hits and four walks in the four-game series versus the Phillies.
  • DET Starting Pitcher
Tigers signed RHP Dariel Fregio to a minor league contract.
The 25-year-old hurler pitched for the Washington WildThings in the independent Frontier League in 2024 where he registered a 4.07 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and a 90/29 K/BB ratio over 108 1/3 innings. He’ll add extra starting pitching depth in the minor leagues for the Tigers.
  • HOU Starting Pitcher #61
Astros recalled RHP Colton Gordon from Triple-A Sugar Land.
While it hasn’t been officially announced yet, it sounds like Gordon will slide into the rotation spot vacated by the injured Ronel Blanco (elbow) and will start on Sunday against the Mariners. The 26-year-old hurler has made two starts for the Astros so far this season, posting a 5.59 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and a 10/2 K/BB ratio across 9 2/3 frames.
  • ATH Relief Pitcher #39
Athletics recalled RHP Carlos Duran from Triple-A Las Vegas.
The A’s wanted to add a fresh arm to their bullpen prior to Thursday’s battle against the Angels, so Duran was summoned with left-hander Matt Krook being optioned to Triple-A Las Veas. The 23-year-old right-hander has yet to pitch in a big league game. He has posted a 6.75 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and a 29/19 K/BB ratio over 25 1/3 innings at the Triple-A level this season and gives the A’s an option that’s capable of working multiple innings out of the bullpen.
  • ATH Starting Pitcher #62
Athletics optioned LHP Matt Krook to Triple-A Las Vegas.
The 30-year-old southpaw appeared in three games during his time with the A’s, registering a 5.40 ERA, 1.80 WHIP and a 3/1 K/BB ratio over 3 1/3 innings of work. He’ll continue to refine his craft at the Triple-A level until he’s called upon again.
