Giants designated 1B/DH Justin Smoak for assignment.
Smoak signed on with the Giants earlier this month after getting released by the Brewers, but the 33-year-old went 0-for-6 with two strikeouts during his short stay with San Francisco and is now batting .176/.250/.361 in 132 total plate appearances this season. Alex Dickerson has been activated from paternity leave in a corresponding move.

Willy Adames with 1-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored, and two RBI in the Giants’ 6-5 win over the Rockies on Tuesday.
Adames drove in the first run of the game on a sacrifice fly in the first inning, bringing Jung Hoo Lee home from first. He then led off the fifth with a solo homer off Carson Palmquist. The home run broke a six game hitless streak while being his first round-tripper since May 13. Adames drew another walk in the ninth and scored the go-ahead run on a base hit by Mike Yastrzemski. The 29-year-old shortstop is hitting .194/.283/.316 with six homers, 33 runs scored, 28 RBI, and three steals across 284 plate appearances.
Fantasy expectations for Red Sox's Anthony
Primed to hit in the middle of Boston's lineup, top prospect Roman Anthony appears set to deliver raw power and a selective approach for the Red Sox and fantasy managers moving forward.
  • COL 3rd Baseman #24
Ryan McMahon went 1-for-2 with a solo homer, two runs scored, and two walks against the Giants on Tuesday.
McMahon took Kyle Harrison deep for a solo homer in the fourth inning and later drew a walk in the sixth before he was caught stealing second. McMahon would reach once more in the eighth on a walk and scored on a triple by Brenton Doyle. The 30-year-old third baseman is a likely trade candidate for the Rockies as we get deeper into the season. McMahon is hitting .215/.328/.377 with eight homers, 26 runs, and 19 RBI over 262 plate appearances.
  • SF Relief Pitcher #75
Camilo Doval tossed a scoreless ninth inning to record the save against the Rockies on Tuesday.
The Giants put four runs on the board in the top of the ninth to complete the comeback and give the team a one-run lead going into the bottom of the ninth. Doval was summoned to close it out. He worked around two hits and a walk, inducing a ground ball double-play and a pop out to keep the Rockies off the board for his 10th save of the season.
  • COL Relief Pitcher #36
Zach Agnos surrendered four runs in the ninth to take the loss against the Giants on Tuesday.
Agnos took the mound in the top of the ninth with a three-run lead over the Giants for the save opportunity. He served up a solo homer to Casey Schmitt to start the inning, then issued three walks before Victor Vodnik took over. Vodnick would give up a sacrifice fly and two hits to surrender the lead and was officially charged for the blown save.
  • SF Starting Pitcher #45
Kyle Harrison allowed three runs with six strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision against the Rockies on Tuesday.
Harrison gave up a run in the second inning on a double and a base hit. Ryan McMahon later took him deep for a solo homer in the fourth. Kyle Farmer then went yard for a solo homer in the fifth. Harrison’s day would be done after five innings at 87 pitches. He struck out six. The 23-year-old left-hander holds a 4.56 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and a 25/9 K/BB ratio across 23 2/3 innings. He’s in line for a tough matchup against the Dodgers in Los Angeles on Sunday.
  • MIL Right Fielder #11
Jackson Chourio went 2-for-4 and blasted a two-run homer on Tuesday evening, powering the Brewers to a 4-1 victory over the Braves.
Chourio opened the scoring in the contest with a 409-foot (102.7 mph EV) two-run shot off of Grant Holmes in the third inning. That would be all of the run support that Quinn Priester and company would require. The 21-year-old budding superstar also reached on an infield single in the first inning. On the season, he’s now hitting .257/.283/.441 to go along with 11 homers, 39 RBI and 13 stolen bases.
  • MIL 1st Baseman #9
Jake Bauers went 1-for-4 and swatted a solo home run as the Brewers triumphed over the visiting Braves on Tuesday evening.
Bauers victimized Braves’ starter Grant Holmes for a 434-foot (107.8 mph EV) solo shot in the sixth inning that extended the Brewers’ lead to 3-1. That would be his only hit in four at-bats on the evening which included a pair of strikeouts. The 29-year-old slugger is now slashing .239/.336/.457 with five homers and 18 RBI on the season.
  • MIL Relief Pitcher #29
Trevor Megill slammed the door on the Braves in the ninth inning on Tuesday, retiring all three hitters that he faced to preserve a three-run advantage.
The 31-year-old right-hander looked extremely sharp in this one, striking out Michael Harris II and Ozzie Albies in succession before retiring Sean Murphy on a fly ball to left field to end it. He needed just 12 pitches (eight strikes) to get the job done. On the season, Megill now sports a 2.82 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and a 24/12 K/BB ratio over 22 1/3 innings while converting 13 of his first 15 save chances.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #46
Quinn Priester delivered a dominant performance in Tuesday evening’s victory over the Braves, matching his season-high with seven strikeouts over six innings of one-run baseball.
The 24-year-old right-hander scattered seven hits on the evening and didn’t allow a base on balls. The lone tally against him came on an RBI single off the bat of Ronald Acuña Jr. in the fifth inning. Priester got 13 swings and misses on 96 pitches on the night — six of them on his cutter — while registering a solid CSW of 27 percent. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling as he totes a 3.65 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and a 43/26 K/BB ratio (61 2/3 innings) into Tuesday’s tilt against the Cubs in Chicago.
  • COL Relief Pitcher #45
Carson Palmquist allowed two runs with two strikeouts over four innings in a no-decision against the Giants on Tuesday.
A leadoff triple and a sacrifice fly to start the first inning brought a run in to score for the Giants. Palmquist then tossed three scoreless frames before Willy Adames took him deep for a solo homer in the fifth. He walked the following batter, ending his day at 97 pitches. He struck out two. The 24-year-old left-hander will carry a 7.77 ERA, 1.82 WHIP, and a 16/13 K/BB ratio across 22 innings into a start against the Braves in Atlanta on Sunday.
