Will Warren gave up seven runs over 1 1/3 innings in a loss to the Dodgers on Saturday.
Yikes. Warren’s command was atrocious Saturday, as he threw just 29-of-57 pitches for strikes and issued four walks. He also allowed six hits, and after giving up a three-run homer to Max Muncy with one out in the second, the Yankees mercifully let him leave the game. The 25-year-old had pitched well over his last few starts, but you can’t have poor command against the Dodgers and expect good results. He gets a chance to bounce back against the Red Sox next week.
