Carlos Gomez went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer on Saturday to help the Mets to a win over the Rockies.
Gomez socked a two-run shot off of Jon Gray in the second inning, and the outfielder now has two homers on the year to go along with seven RBI over seven games. He’s also hitting just .203 with a .633 OPS, and he’s not a recommended fantasy option at this point in his career.

Pete Crow-Armstrong drove in a run, scored a run and stole a pair of bases on Tuesday night as the Cubs bested the Rockies in 11 innings.
Even on a night in which the 23-year-old outfielder went hitless in five at-bats, he still managed to make an impact on offense. Crow-Armstrong plated a run with a fielder’s choice in the second inning and swiped second base before being stranded there. He then served as the extra runner to open the 11th inning and swiped second base before scoring the tying run on Michael Busch’s RBI single. He’s off to an unbelievable start to the 2025 season, slashing .274/.303/.553 with 14 homers, 49 RBI and 16 stolen bases, much to the delight of fantasy managers.
Mayer joins Red Sox after Bregman lands on IL
The Boston Red Sox called up top prospect Marcelo Mayer to replace injured third baseman Alex Bregman, and Eric Samulski discusses why you should still stash Bregman if your fantasy league has multiple IL spots.

Chis Flexen picked up his third victory of the season on Tuesday evening, working a pair of scoreless innings against the Rockies.
The 30-year-old hurler has blossomed into a major weapon out of the Cubs’ bullpen this season. He came on to pitch in the top half of the 10th inning and was able to strand the extra runner by retiring all three hitters that he faced in order. He then returned for the 11th where he allowed an RBI ground out to Brenton Doyle but prevented any further damage and then became the beneficiary as the Cubs walked it off in the home half of the frame. On the season, Flexen has yet to allow an earned run through his first 12 1/3 innings while posting a 0.81 WHIP and a 7/3 K/BB ratio while notching three wins and a save.

Cade Horton pitched well in a no-decision against the Rockies on Tuesday, allowing two runs on four hits over his six-plus innings of work.
Horton racked up six strikeouts on the evening while issuing just one free pass. He had allowed just one run — an RBI single from Ryan McMahon in the fourth inning — through his first six frames. Cubs’ skipper Craig Counsell sent him back out for the seventh though, where Brenton Doyle crushed his first pitch for a game-tying solo homer. That was the last pitch Horton threw in the game. He generated 11 whiffs on 83 pitches on the night — five on his sweeper — while posting a CSW of 34 percent. Through his first four appearances (three starts), Horton has gone 2-0 with a 3.98 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and a 16/4 K/BB ratio over 20 1/3 innings. He’ll do battle against the Nationals his next time out in Washington on Tuesday.
  • COL Center Fielder #9
Brenton Doyle swatted his fifth home run of the season on Tuesday night and drove in a pair of runs as the Rockies fell in extra innings to the Cubs at Wrigley Field.
Doyle tagged rookie right-hander Cade Horton for a 371-foot (102.8 mph EV) solo shot on the first pitch of the seventh inning, tying the game at two runs apiece. The 27-year-old outfielder also plated the go-ahead run in the top half of the 11th inning with a ground out to second base. He finished the evening 1-for-4 and is now hitting .214/.279/.353 with five long balls, 21 RBI and six stolen bases in his first 190 plate appearances.

Germán Márquez logged a quality start in a no-decision against the Cubs on Tuesday evening, surrendering two runs on seven hits across his six innings of work.
The 30-year-old right-hander racked up six strikeouts on the night while allowing only one walk. The Cubs grinded out a pair of runs against him in the third inning on an RBI single by Seiya Suzuki and a fielder’s choice by Pete Crow-Armstrong, but aside from that Márquez was able to keep the Cubs’ offense in check. He got 13 swings and misses on 84 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 29 percent. He’ll see if he can run his quality start streak to three games as he brings an unsightly 7.13 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and a 32/19 K/BB ratio (53 innings) into Monday’s matchup against the Marlins in Miami where he may actually make for a viable streaming option in deeper leagues.
  • TEX 3rd Baseman #6
Josh Jung smacked a go-ahead RBI single off of Chad Green with two outs in the eighth inning on Tuesday, propelling the Rangers to a 2-0 victory over the Blue Jays.
Jung may have felt disrespected as the Blue Jays intentionally walked Wyatt Langford with two outs in the eighth inning to pitch to him. He then battled Green to a full count before lining a go-ahead RBI single into center field to give the Rangers the lead. Jung then swiped second base, and an errant throw from Alejandro Kirk allowed Langford to score with a valuable insurance run. The oft-injured 27-year-old third baseman finished the night 1-for-4 and is now hitting .281/.328/.456 with seven homers, 20 RBI and four stolen bases through his first 183 plate appearances on the year.
  • TEX Left Fielder #36
Wyatt Langford went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored as the Rangers eked out a victory over the Blue Jays on Tuesday evening.
Langford was intentionally walked with two outs in the eighth inning, then raced around to third as Josh Jung smacked a go-ahead RBI single off of Chad Green. Jung then swiped second base and as he was doing so, Alejandro Kirk tried to pick Langford off of third base but threw the ball away, allowing Langford to score. Langford also singled in the ballgame. The 23-year-old phenom is now hitting .246/.328/.462 with 10 homers, 21 RBI and 10 stolen bases through his first 195 plate appearances on the season.
  • TEX Relief Pitcher #62
Robert Garcia earned his third save of the season on Tuesday, retiring all three hitters that he faced in the ninth inning to protect a two-run lead against the Blue Jays.
It’s getting to the point where fantasy managers should start to wonder if Luke Jackson is simply being eased back into the ninth inning role, or if Garcia is stealing the role from under him. The 28-year-old left-hander holds a 2.35 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and a 21/8 K/BB ratio over 23 innings on the season while securing three saves in four chances. He could be worth a look as a speculative add in deeper mixed leagues.
  • TEX Relief Pitcher #77
Luke Jackson notched his first victory of the season on Tuesday, working a scoreless inning against the Blue Jays.
Jackson came on to pitch in the top half of the eighth inning on Tuesday with the Rangers and Blue Jays locked in a scoreless tie. He plunked George Springer with one out in the inning and then intentionally walked Addison Barger two outs before getting Ernie Clement to line out to right field to end the inning. He then became the beneficiary as the Rangers scored two runs in the home half of the inning. Robert Garcia, who has been filling in as the closer while Jackson has been eased back in, worked a scoreless ninth inning to secure his third save.
  • TOR Relief Pitcher #57
Chad Green was saddled with his first loss of the season on Tuesday evening, giving up two runs (one earned) on two hits in his lone inning of work.
Green came on to pitch the eighth inning with the Rangers and Blue Jays locked in a scoreless tie. He allowed a one-out single to Kyle Higashioka and then intentionally walked Wyatt Langford with two outs, setting the stage for Josh Jung who delivered an RBI single. The Rangers then pushed another run across on an errant pickoff throw by Alejandro Kirk. On the season, the 34-year-old hurler now boasts a 3.47 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and a 21/6 K/BB ratio over 23 1/3 innings in his first 24 appearances.
