Angels optioned RHP Osmer Morales to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Morales gave up one hit and retired one batter Thursday in his major league debut. He should return next month.

Nick Solak went 3-for-4 with a walk, a home run, and three RBI for Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.
Remember him? Solak is now 30 years old and crushing it at Triple-A in the Pirates’ organization, slashing .391/.431/.630 in 12 games with three home runs, 11 RBI, and three steals. Solak is also a .252 career MLB hitter in 865 at-bats, so there is a chance he gets an opportunity this season given the lack of depth in the Pirates’ lineup at the big league level.
  • DET Starting Pitcher #15
Matt Manning allowed five runs on two hits while walking three batters in just 2/3 innings for Triple-A Toledo on Sunday.
Manning’s Triple-A ERA now sits at 9.60 on the season. The 27-year-old had some sleeper appeal heading into the 2024 season, but he struggled in the minors last year as well, and it might be time to turn the page.
  • PHI Center Fielder #91
Phillies OF prospect Justin Crawford went 2-for-5 with a stolen base for Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Sunday.
Despite being just 21 years old, Crawford is slashing .293/.337/.378 in 19 games at Triple-A with a 16:6 K:BB ratio and eight stolen bases. The Phillies would obviously like to see the strikeout and walk rates come together a bit more, but it’s an impressive start to the season for a young player. He could push for a call-up at some point this summer.
  • NYY 2nd Baseman #90
Yankees recalled INF Jorbit Vivas from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre
Trent Grisham landed on the paternity list this morning, and Vivas will come up to take his place. It’s an interesting swap since Vivas is strictly an infielder and Grisham is the Yankees’ best defensive outfielder, but Vivas was always likely just going to be a bench player for the next three games anyway. The 24-year-old is off to a great start at Triple-A, slashing .342/.432/.493 in 20 games with two home runs, four steals, and a 4:10 K:BB ratio. He could get a shot to push for the Yankees’ third base job at some point this season.
  • NYY Center Fielder #12
Yankees placed OF Trent Grisham on the paternity list.
Congratulations to Grisham and his growing family. The outfielder, who is in the middle of a hot stretch right now, will likely miss the entire series against the Guardians. INF Jorbit Vivas was called up to take his place on the active roster.
  • CWS 3rd Baseman #23
Brandon Drury went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI for Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.
The White Sox needed a backup infielder with Chase Meidroth landing on the IL, but they opted for Bobby Dalbec instead of Drury. Perhaps that should tell us that Meidroth won’t be out for a long time, but it also tells us that they’re not ready to move on from any of their active infielders to call up the 32-year-old Drury. It could happen in the next month or so though.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher
Mets RHP prospect Blade Tidwell struck out nine batters in 4 1/3 scoreless innings for Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday.
He also allowed only two hits and walked one on the day, but those strikeouts led him to throw 74 pitches in a little over four innings before being removed from the game. He rode his four-seam fastball and sweeper to much success on Sunday with 15 swing and misses, and eight of those coming on his sweeper. The 23-year-old has 28 strikeouts in 22 1/2 innings this season and could get a shot with the Mets sometime later this season if they need another arm in the rotation.
  • BOS 2nd Baseman #5
Vaughn Grissom went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored for Triple-A Worcester on Sunday.
Grissom has been tremendous this season, slashing .342/.400/.575 with three home runs and 10 RBI in 18 games at Triple-A. He has traded some contact for power and is striking out more than he has before in his minor league career, but the numbers have been great, and the added muscle he put on this off-season means that the power gains could be real. At just 24 years old, perhaps we wrote the obituary on Grissom’s MLB career far too soon after an injury-plagued 2024 season.
  • BOS Shortstop #39
Red Sox SS prospect Marcelo Mayer went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI for Triple-A Worcester on Saturday.
That’s back-to-back games with a home run and at least three RBI for Mayer, who now has four home runs and 22 RBI so far in 17 games at Triple-A. However, he is also slashing .233/.273/.411 with 16 strikeouts and just four walks, so there is still some work to be done. Trevor Story is off to a great start in Boston, so there is no call-up imminent here.
  • CWS 3rd Baseman #32
White Sox recalled INF Bobby Dalbec from Triple-A Charlotte.
With Chase Meidroth (thumb) being placed on the IL, Dalbec will have two weeks to try and earn more playing time with the White Sox. The 29-year-old is hitting .326/.354/.696 in 12 games at Triple-A with four home runs and 13 RBI, but he also has a 33 percent strikeout rate. Considering he has a 37 percent career MLB strikeout rate, we would not assume he’s any different of a hitter than he has been in his previous failed call ups.
