Athletics acquired RHP Jake Sanchez from the White Sox in exchange for OF Michael Taylor.
The 25-year-old right-hander is a bit of a project and has never pitched above A-ball, though he does own a 2.80 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 66/14 K/BB ratio over 61 innings at Class-A Kannapolis this season.

Max Muncy pulverized his second home run of the spring on Sunday, propelling the Dodgers to a 7-1 victory over the Angels in their Freeway Series matchup.
Muncy was the only hitter on the Dodgers that did any damage against Jose Soriano on Sunday, crushing a first-pitch sinker for a 383-foot (99.2 mph eV) solo homer in the fifth inning that tied the game at 1-1. He finished the night 1-for-2 and is now hitting .227 (5-for-22) with a pair of homers and seven RBI. As long as he’s healthy, he’s going to be a viable contributor for fantasy purposes — just don’t expect him to help you out in batting average.

Jackson Ferris pitched well in Sunday’s Freeway Series start against the Angels, allowing one run on two hits across 3 2/3 innings.
The 21-year-old hurler struck out four batters on the day while issuing a pair of free passes. The only blemish on his day came on a solo homer off the bat of Taylor Ward. Ferris got six swings and misses on 62 pitches in the ballgame — two each on his fastball, slider and curveball — while registering a CSW of 26 percent. He’ll open the year as extra rotation depth for the Dodgers in the upper minor leagues.
  • LAA Right Fielder #3
Taylor Ward belted a solo home run in the third inning on Sunday night, accounting for the Angels’ lone run in a loss to the Dodgers.
Ward finally got the Halos on the board in the third inning with a 399-foot (101.2 mph EV) solo shot off of Jackson Ferris. That would wind up being their only tally in the ballgame. The 31-year-old outfielder finished his day 1-for-3 plus a walk and is now hitting .275 (11-for-40) with one homer, four RBI and one stolen base on the spring.
  • LAA Starting Pitcher #59
José Soriano put together another strong performance in Sunday’s Freeway Series battle against the Dodgers, surrendering only one run on four hits across his 5 1/3 innings of work.
The 26-year-old right-hander walked two and struck out two batters on the evening. The lone tally against him came on a solo shot off the bat of Max Muncy in the fifth inning. Soriano got seven whiffs on 85 pitches on the night, posting an underwhelming CSW of 20 percent. He finishes the spring with a 3.60 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and a 21/10 K/BB ratio over 20 innings.
  • SEA Catcher #29
Cal Raleigh went 3-for-5 with a pair of solo homers on Sunday afternoon, powering the Mariners to a 10-6 victory over the visiting Brewers.
Raleigh gave the M’s a 3-2 lead with his towering solo shot off of Garrett Stallings in the fifth inning. The hard-hitting 28-year-old backstop then capped off the scoring in the ballgame with his solo blast to right off of Kaleb Bowman to finish off a seven-run uprising in the eighth inning. He has performed about as expected this spring, hitting a brutal .193 (11-for-57) but with five long balls and 10 RBI.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher #50
Bryce Miller pitched decently in a no-decision against the Brewers on Sunday, allowing four runs (two earned) on four hits over 5 1/3 innings of work.
Miller punched out five opposing hitters on the afternoon while allowing one base on balls. The Brewers scratched out a pair of unearned runs against him in the third inning, then Miller served up a two-run homer to Wes Clarke before exiting in the sixth. The 26-year-old hurler got just four swings and misses on 76 pitches in the game, registering a CSW of 30 percent. He finishes Cactus League play with a respectable 3.77 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and a 17/3 K/BB ratio over 14 1/3 innings.
  • MIL Right Fielder #11
Jackson Chourio walloped his first home run in the opening inning on Sunday, helping to propel the Brewers to a 6-0 victory over the Rockies in Cactus League competition.
The 21-year-old budding superstar tagged Rockies’ top pitching prospect Chase Dollander for his solo shot to center that gave the Brewers an early 1-0 advantage that they’d never relinquish. Chourio also walked and scored a run in the contest, finishing the day 1-for-3. On the spring he’s hitting an absolutely absurd .468 (22-for-47) with a homer, eight RBI and six stolen bases.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #35
Elvin Rodriguez delivered a dominant performance in Sunday’s victory over the Rockies, punching out five batters over two scoreless innings.
The 26-year-old right-hander allowed two hits in the contest and didn’t walk a batter. Rodriguez got himself out of trouble with a pair of strikeout in the opening inning, then came back and struck out the side in his second inning of work. He’s expected to function in a multi-inning role out of the Brewers’ bullpen to open the 2025 season which makes him a tough sell from a fantasy perspective outside of NL-only formats.
  • COL Center Fielder #2
Tyler Freeman went 1-for-4 with a single and a stolen base in his Rockies’ spring debut against the Brewers on Sunday.
Freeman, who was acquired from the Guardians for Nolan Jones on Friday, started at second base and batted leadoff for the Rockies on Sunday. He led off the game with a single off of Elvin Rodriguez, but wound up stranded at third base. Freeman then reached on a fielder’s choice in the eighth inning and swiped second base, but the Rockies couldn’t cash him in. He’s expected to see fairly regular action at second base for the Rockies with Thairo Estrada (wrist) sidelined.
  • COL Starting Pitcher #78
Chase Dollander was hit hard in his final spring start on Sunday, allowing six runs (five earned) on six hits across 3 1/3 innings.
On the plus side, Dollander did pile up six strikeouts in the ballgame while issuing only one free pass. The 23-year-old hurler served up a pair of home runs in this one — a solo shot to Jackson Chourio in the opening inning and a two-run blast to Vinny Capra in the fourth. The Rockies’ top pitching prospect concludes Cactus League play with a troublesome 7.13 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 24 punchouts over 17 2/3 innings. He’ll work through his issues at the Triple-A level before getting a shot with the Rockies at some point later in the season.
