Mets voided the contract of RHP Scott Patterson.
Patterson (shoulder) was placed on the minor league disabled list after just two appearances. He won’t receive an injury settlement, and is likely to shut it down for the year rather than look for a role with another club.

Will Smith went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer to power the Dodgers to a 6-2 win over the Rockies on Tuesday.
Smith extended the Dodgers lead in the third inning with a three-run blast off Ryan Feltner for his second home run of the season. He later added a single in the eighth. The 30-year-old backstop is hot at the dish through the first three weeks, slashing .367/.475/.551 with the two homers and 12 RBI across 61 plate appearances.

Jacob Stallings went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a walk against the Dodgers on Tuesday.
With two runners on base in the fourth inning, Stallings doubled to left field to plate both runs the Rockies would score against the Dodgers on Tuesday. It was just the third hit of the season for the 35-year-old backstop while driving in his first two runs. Stalling carries no relevancy in most formats outside of deep two-catcher leagues.

Landon Knack allowed two runs with two strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rockies on Tuesday.
Knack worked three scoreless innings before surrendering two runs on a double by Jacob Stallings in the fourth. He entered the fifth and retired the first batter before his day was done at 65 pitches. Knack would have to settle for a no-decision despite the lead as he failed to go five innings. The 27-year-old right-hander is tentatively lined up for a start against the Cubs in Chicago next Wednesday.
  • COL Starting Pitcher #18
Ryan Feltner allowed five runs with one strikeout in a loss against the Dodgers on Tuesday.
Feltner loaded the bases with no outs in the second inning and was fortunate to come away with just one run allowed on a ground ball double play. He wasn’t so fortunate the following frame as he surrendered a three-run shot to Will Smith. Two more walks and two hits brought in a fifth run for Los Angeles and loaded the bases before Feltner was pulled with two outs in the third. Jake Bird would enter in relief and leave them loaded.
  • CHC 2nd Baseman #2
Nico Hoerner went 3-for-5 with a triple and one RBI in a 2-1 win against the Padres on Tuesday.
Hoerner knocked a base hit in the second inning, then singled in the sixth for his second hit. Leading off with the game tied in the tenth inning, he drove in the go-ahead run with a triple. The 27-year-old second baseman is hitting well in the early going, slashing .328/.371/.391 with 11 RBI and six steals across 70 plate appearances.
  • SD 3rd Baseman #13
Manny Machado went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Cubs on Tuesday.
After his at-bat was extended by a foul pop error in the fifth inning, Machado broke a scoreless game with a solo homer off Shota Imanaga. It would be his only hit of the game and the only run the Padres would score as they lose just their fourth game of the season. Machado is hitting .313/.387/.507 with the two homers, 16 runs scored, and six steals across 75 plate appearances.

Caleb Thielbar struck out one batter in a scoreless tenth inning to record the save against the Padres on Tuesday.
The Cubs took a one-run lead in the top of the tenth after Ryan Pressly tossed a scoreless ninth inning. Thielbar got the call to close it out in the tenth. He struck out the first batter and intentionally walked Fernando Tatis Jr. before recording the final out on a fly ball and securing the win for Chicago.

Shota Imanaga allowed one run, zero earned, with seven strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision against the Padres on Tuesday.
Imanaga got into some trouble in the third, giving up a hit and walking two batters to load the bases with one out. He got Manny Machado to strike out swinging and escaped the jam with a pop out. Machado got him back in the fifth with a solo homer to put the Padres on the board. However, the homer was not charged as an earned run as a pop foul error extended the at-bat. Imanaga’s day would be done after five frames. He struck out seven. The 31-year-old left-hander will take a 2.22 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and a 21/10 K/BB ratio across 28 1/3 innings into a start against the Dodgers in Chicago next Tuesday.
  • SD Starting Pitcher #98
Randy Vásquez allowed one run with two strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision against the Cubs on Tuesday.
Vásquez worked two quiet innings before escaping a bases-loaded jam in the third. He kept the Cubs bats in check for two more frames before leaving with two runners on and no outs in the sixth 80 pitches. He scattered seven hits and two walks while striking out two. The 26-year-old right-hander holds a 1.74 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and an 8/14 K/BB ratio across 20 2/3 innings. Vásquez will look to avoid some regression when he takes on the Tigers in Detroit on Monday.
  • BAL Catcher #72
Orioles top prospect Samuel Basallo has been diagnosed with a mild left hamstring strain.
Orioles general manager Mike Elias told reporters Tuesday that Basallo could return at DH in a couple weeks and resume catching at some point in May. The 20-year-old slugging backstop figures to reach the big leagues later this year and is one of the premier fantasy-relevant prospects worth keeping a close eye on.
