Adam Lind delivered his first big league homer on Sunday when he took Angels starter Jered Weaver deep for a two-run blast in the second inning.
Lind also doubled in the game, giving him five extra-base hits in his first 17 big league at-bats. The hot start means the Blue Jays will continue to play the youngster often, and he’s a fine play in AL-only leagues. A strong final three weeks might allow him to enter next season with a chance to compete for a starting job.

Pirates RHP prospect Bubba Chandler recorded five strikeouts and allowed two runs over 6 1/3 innings on Saturday for Triple-A Indianapolis.
Chandler authored a dominant performance in his latest Triple-A gem, carrying a no-hit bid into the seventh inning before finally giving up a single and a walk, which ended his longest outing of the season. Both runs were charged to him following his exit from the contest. The electrifying 22-year-old righty has looked like a potential fantasy ace, recording a stellar 2.27 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 61/20 K/BB ratio across 43 2/3 innings (10 starts). It’s hard to imagine what else Pittsburgh’s front office needs to see before he gets his opportunity in the majors.
Top prospect Clarke to be called up by Athletics
Following the Atheltics' announcement that they are calling up prized outfield Denzel Clarke, James Schiano discusses what the toolsy prospect with "blazing speed" will bring to the pro level.
  • ATH Starting Pitcher #78
Athletics RHP prospect Luis Morales fired six hitless innings on Saturday for Triple-A Las Vegas.
Morales put together an extremely impressive Triple-A debut, retiring 11 consecutive batters to open the contest before finally issuing a walk. It would be the lone baserunner he allowed over six nearly-perfect frames. The 22-year-old top pitching prospect was promoted to the doorstep of the big leagues earlier this week after posting a strong 2.98 ERA and 53/15 K/BB ratio across 42 1/3 innings (eight starts) for Double-A Midland.
  • KC 1st Baseman #14
Royals 1B/OF prospect Jac Caglianone homered for the third straight game on Saturday for Triple-A Omaha.
Caglianone hasn’t skipped a beat since being promoted to the doorstep of the majors earlier this week, going deep in three of five contests. The 22-year-old slugging prospect is hitting .286 (6-for-21) during that span. It feels like only a matter of time before Kansas City is forced to give him an opportunity at the highest level given how much he’s excelled in the upper minors this season. He’s rapidly becoming one of the few prospects fantasy managers should strongly consider stashing for the second half stretch run.
  • TEX Shortstop #76
Rangers signed SS Richie Martin to a minor league contract.
Martin hasn’t appeared in the big leagues since the 2022 campaign when he got into 13 games for the Orioles. The 30-year-old middle infielder fortifies the Rangers’ organizational depth after a strong 22-game stint with the Gastonia Ghost Peppers of the independent Atlantic League.
  • BAL Relief Pitcher #58
Orioles designated LHP Cionel Pérez for assignment.
Pérez was removed from Baltimore’s active roster prior to the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader against the Red Sox. The 29-year-old southpaw struggled to a bloated 8.31 ERA across 21 2/3 innings (19 appearances) this season. Given his previous track record, there should be some interest on waivers.
  • BAL Relief Pitcher #76
Orioles selected the contract of RHP Yaramil Hiraldo from Triple-A Norfolk.
Hiraldo got the call to join Baltimore’s bullpen for the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader against the Red Sox. The 29-year-old righty posted a solid 2.45 ERA across three minor-league levels this season in the Orioles’ system.
  • ATH 1st Baseman #16
Nick Kurtz is day-to-day with a left hip flexor injury.
Kurtz, who is hitting .280 (7-for-25) with four homers and nine RBI over his last seven games, downplayed concern to reporters following an early exit from Saturday’s extra-inning marathon against the Phillies. He was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a pair of walks before leaving the game in the 10th inning. The A’s are facing a tough lefty in Jesús Luzardo on Sunday, so Kurtz might not have started regardless, especially with the team having Monday off. Logan Davison could fill in for him.
  • PHI Relief Pitcher #60
Max Lazar was credited with a save while firing a scoreless 11th inning against the Athletics on Saturday.
Lazar has his first ever save with the scoreless inning. The 25-year-old has a chance to help the Philadelphia bullpen, but it’s impossible — and foolish — to project him getting more save chances. It took Philadelphia using five relievers before him to get this one.
  • ATH Shortstop #5
Jacob Wilson went 3-for-5 with an RBI in an extra-innings loss to the Phillies on Saturday.
Wilson also drew a walk. The 23-year-old has not slowed down in the average category at all, and he’s now slashing an excellent .342/.383/.474 that is even more impressive when you consider it’s his first full season of baseball. Even if the power never comes, this version of Wilson is a pretty solid fantasy option.
  • ATH Left Fielder #25
Brent Rooker hit a solo homer and walked twice in a loss to the Phillies on Saturday in extra innings.
Rooker tied the game at 6-6 in the eighth winning with 12th homer of the 2025 campaign. He did hit into a double play with the bases loaded in the 10th with a chance to win the game, so he had a chance to make a good fantasy day into a great one. Rooker hasn’t been as good in 2025 as he was in 2024, but he’s still provided relevancy with his power.
