The Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) hosted two top-level NASCAR series this past weekend. On Saturday afternoon, the XFINITY Series 300-lap Alsco 300 was featured on the 0.533-mile concrete oval in Tennessee. The CUP drivers took their turn with fast and close racing for 500 laps at the track called “The Last Great Colosseum” with Sunday’s Food City 500. The Gander Outdoors Truck Series will return to action on May 3 for the JEGS 200 at Dover Int’l Speedway in Delaware. The results and upcoming scheduled events for the NASCAR Home Tracks and other series are also shown below.

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (CUP)
QUALIFYING: Chase Elliott (No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro) won the Pole Award for the Food City 500 with a lap of 131.713 mph. This is his fifth pole in 121 CUP races. It is his first pole and fifth top-10 start in 2019 and first pole in seven races at BMS. William Byron (second) posted his fourth top-10 start of 2019 and his second in three BMS races. Ryan Blaney (third) logged his sixth top-10 Bristol start and third in eight CUP races this season. Daniel Hemric (26th) was the fastest qualifying Sunoco Rookie of the Year (ROTY) contender.

RESULTS: Kyle Busch (No. 18 Toyota Camry) won the Food City 500, his 54th victory in 506 CUP series races. This is his third victory and eighth top-10 finish in 2019. It is his eighth victory and 16th top-10 finish in 28 races at BMS. Kurt Busch (second) posted his 19th top-10 finish in 37 BMS races and sixth top-10 finish in 2019. Joey Logano (third) scored his 10th top-10 finish in 21 races at BMS. Ryan Preece (25th) was the highest finishing ROTY. Pole-sitter Chase Elliott led 38 laps and finished the 500-lap race in 11th place.
Standings: Kyle Busch leads the point standings by 27 points over Denny Hamlin.

NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS)
QUALIFYING: Cole Custer (No. 00 Ford Mustang) won the Pole Award for the Alsco 300 with a lap of 126.503 mph. This is his seventh pole in 78 NXS races. It is his first pole and sixth top-10 start in 2019 and second pole in five races at BMS. Tyler Reddick (second) posted his fifth top-10 start of 2019 and his second in four BMS races. Chase Briscoe (third), the fastest qualifying ROTY contender, scored his first top-10 start at BMS and third in seven series races this season.
Did not qualify: No one. Only 37 entries for the 38 car field.

RESULTS: Christopher Bell (No. 20 Toyota Supra) won the Alsco 300, his 10th victory in 48 NXS races. This is his second victory and fifth top-10 finish in 2019 and his first victory and second top-10 finish in three races at BMS. Tyler Reddick (second) posted his third top-10 finish in four BMS races and sixth top-10 finish in 2019. Pole-sitter Cole Custer (third) led 25 laps and scored his fourth top-10 finish in five races at BMS. Chase Briscoe (fourth) was the highest finishing ROTY.
Standings: Tyler Reddick leads the point standings 13 points over Christopher Bell.
