    The older brother of Blue Jays rookie sensation Alek Manoah spent the majority of last season with the Twins’ organization on a minor-league pact after pitching for West Virginia in the independent Atlantic League. The 26-year-old righty will get a look out of the bullpen in the upper-minors of the Nationals’ system this season.

    Twins signed RHP Erik Manoah to a minor league contract.
    The 25-year-old is the older brother of Blue Jays hurler Alek Manoah. He spent the 2017-2019 seasons toiling in the low minors in the Angels system before switching to independent ball. This year, he has thrown four shutout innings with a 6/0 K/BB ratio for the West Virginia Power in the independent Atlantic League. He’ll be assigned to Low-A Fort Myers.

    Angels acquired RHP Erik Manoah from the Mets for RHP Fernando Salas.
    Manoah, 20, is still a fair ways away from the majors. Prior to the trade, he had struggled to a 5.81 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 63/27 K/BB ratio over 62 innings with short season Brooklyn in the Mets’ system.
