Moses Brown pulled down another 12 rebounds through 20 minutes as a starter on Sunday, adding nine points (3-of-8 FG, 3-of-6 FT) and two turnovers in a loss to the 76ers.
That’s three straight double-digit rebounding games for Brown, and as long as both Jarrett Allen (finger) and Evan Mobley (left ankle) are out, he should continue to start and put up beastly boards numbers. Just know that he’ll be a negative for your squad’s FT%. Ed Davis saw just six minutes off the bench in this one, so it’s clear that despite Cleveland lacking some frontcourt depth, Davis will still not be much of a factor in the rotation. Brown is the big you want.

  • CLE Center #31
Jarrett Allen has been diagnosed with a broken finger and he will be out indefinitely.
Allen exited Sunday’s game after getting kneed in the left quad, but now it’s being reported that he’s also dealing with a fractured finger that will require further evaluation. It’s unclear just how long he’ll be out, but guys like Evan Mobley, Kevin Love, Cedi Osman, Dean Wade and Ed Davis will all benefit in his absence, and Osman being the preferable target amongst the players rostered in under 50% of Yahoo! Leagues.

  • CLE Center #31
Jarrett Allen (illness) will be active for Wednesday’s matchup with the Bucks.
This was a non-COVID illness that only forced him into one game on the sidelines, and he should have no issue playing his usual minutes in the 30s in what should be a fun game. Ed Davis will shift back to the bench and can be ignored going forward regardless of Allen’s status, while Kevin Love could take a small hit but is still just fine to deploy.

  • NBA Center #21
Ed Davis will move into the starting lineup for Monday’s matchup with the Knicks.
Jarrett Allen (illness) is taking the night off, so Davis will draw the spot-start and he’ll be joined by Darius Garland, Isaac Okoro, Dean Wade and Evan Mobley in the first unit tonight. In his two starts this season, Davis has compiled averages of 6.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per contest on 66.7% shooting, so he’s a viable DFS target tonight.

  • CLE Center #31
Jarrett Allen (illness) will not suit up for Monday’s game vs. the Knicks.
Allen is feeling a bit under the weather and wasn’t able to participate at shootaround or go through his pregame routine, so it’s not surprising to see him get the night off. Ed Davis will get the spot-start tonight, making him someone to consider in DFS, and maybe Kevin Love will get some extended run. Allen’s next chance to play will come on Wednesday vs. Milwaukee, and for now, we’ll be considering him questionable for that one.

  • NBA Center #21
Ed Davis saw six minutes off the bench in his return to action on Thursday and he finished without any statistics.
Davis was available to play after clearing the health & safety protocols, but his only minutes came in garbage time, despite Jarrett Allen (conditioning) being unavailable. There’s no reason to have this man on your fantasy roster.

  • NBA Center #21
Ed Davis (health and safety protocols) will be available for Thursday’s game against the Wizards.
Davis may crack the rotation in his return, as the Cavaliers will be without starting center Jarrett Allen (protocols). However, he isn’t productive enough to merit being called upon as a streaming option in most leagues.

  • NBA Center #21
Ed Davis enters the NBA’s health and safety protocols list and will not be available for Tuesday’s game against the Celtics.
Davis was potentially looking at a spot-start tonight with both Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen in quarantine, but instead, we might see Kevin Love get the start tonight and Luke Kornet should be able to get into the rotation. Both those guys make sense as DFS options, with Kornet being the riskier play.

  • NBA Center #21
Ed Davis looked good in another start on Thursday, tallying seven points, 14 rebounds, one assist and two swats over 28 turnover-less minutes.
Davis logged a total of seven minutes through the first 15 games of the season, but with both Jarrett Allen (illness) and Evan Mobley (elbow) going down, Davis has started the past two games and has played relatively well. However, the Cavs don’t play again until Monday vs. the Nets, so that might be enough time for Allen to recover from his illness — and if Allen returns — Davis will lose most his value.

  • MIN Center #11
Naz Reid (wrist) returned to the starting lineup on Wednesday and finished with eight points (3-of-7 FG), 11 rebounds, three assists, two 3-pointers, two steals and one turnover through 32 minutes of floor time.
Reid was playing so well tonight that Ed Davis, who had been starting, finished with a DNP-CD — but the end result was still a loss for the Wolves. Jarred Vanderbilt finished with two points, 11 rebounds, two assists, one block and two turnovers in just 16 minutes off the bench, and both these guys will maintain value while Karl-Anthony Towns (COVID-19) is out, with Vanderbilt being the better long-term play.
